What else is there to say? Attempting to play hero will only get yourself hurt and become a nuisance even if you were able to recover all of your lost possessions that this town has taken away from you. Just the thought alone is amusing.
Just because I've done my fair share of helping others doesn't mean I don't keep an ear out for anything.
And there it is again. Listening to that mess reminds me of those days back when I was so green... I suppose it's my fate to listen to such words even when many years has passed by.
I don't recall you ever having a problem with me either, so it's not an issue how I came to be after these ten years with you now is it?
Unfortunately, it's hardly possible for me to ignore such words when they are spoken. It's like rubbing salt on a bleeding wound that never seems to stop so you can only imagine how teeth grating it is to hear such things.
What would you like me to do then, Emiya? Sit on my ass and watch everything crumble around me? Let Coquelicot go crazy like the rest of these poor bastards?
And that says so much on your life is worth to you. How pathetic, but then again, not so surprising either to someone who wishes to be a martyr for their ideals.
[Totally brushing by what you just said because more than a little of it is true]
You know, back when you were a snot-nosed brat still thinking you could be a hero I didn't think you were pathetic no matter what insulting shit I said. I admired that sort of thing, sticking to your ideals no matter what.
I still remember those green horn days of mine. Granted I still follow my ideals, I wouldn't be willing to sacrifice my life to do so. If you die, then what will happen to those you are trying to protect? Casting your eyes away for even a second is a second's worth of time to have them be placed in danger after all.

Better to play hero then sit around and do nothing. I've got people to look out for here. Don't care if I get hurt.

If you don't like what I'm saying, then just ignore it. I think we both know the full extent of what we want out of each other by now.

I'm willing to sacrifice myself as many times as it takes to keep this place going.

Funny how things change, isn't it?

[There's a long pause before she says anything else.]
Whatever it takes to keep everyone going, even it's just a little longer.

Hm. 'Hope', was it? I'm surprised to see people still have some of that left.

Just...don't know if I'm any good at it yet. [Her voice becomes barely audible.] Don't want to let Erica down. If she were still here...
