Since everyone else did it
1. No one sits with me when I eat lunch at work because I always have my head in a gigantic book. They've tried to talk to me, believe me, but I see lunchtime as quiet time away from the crazy.
2. When I was 14 or 15 I was really in shape from swimming every damn day and I had to ask my mom why those guys over there were whistling at me. I still thought boys were icky and stupid.
3. It wasn't until I got married that I started to feel like a beautiful person.
4. I have four guy friends I would do anything for in this world. Two of them pulled me through the worst time in my life even at the expense of themselves. One is coming home from the war in a few days. One is the only man I've ever trusted with my ideas and theories, the only one I can tell absolutely everything and know he will discuss it without judgment. One of them I have a serious love/hate relationship with sometimes. And the other I consider part of my family and is the second half of many of my fondest memories.
5. I have had the same two best friends since Kindergarten, they even refer to my father as Daddy.
6. For one of the last writing assignment of senior year, I wrote a story that made my teacher cry. I will never forget that.
7. I will NEVER use fingernail polish remover. It makes me cringe, so much so that if I paint my nails, I will just repaint over the chips or scratch it off myself.
8. There is a song I associate with each of my friends. I can't listen to certain songs/bands anymore because it hurts too much.
9. I still play Pokemon and I buy the remakes of the GBC games every time.
10. I really love getting stuffed animals and fuzzy blankets. If you buy me a present, go for soft and squishy and I'll go total girl on you.
11. It's been a really really long time since I've worn jeans. I either have black dress pants or tights and a skirt or the occasional sweat pants on (but only the awesomely ''rad" ones I bought for myself and Cammy lol).
12. I don't like snow but I still get excited when I see it falling.
13. I can hide my Southern accent really well if I want to, but words like Why or High or Fly... they still give it away.
14. My husband and his friends actually use that against me. If I say anything with the 'ai' sound on the end, they will repeat the word how I pronounced it over and over and over and over...
15. I love Dethklok. I don't care if they're a 'real' band, Brendan Small fucking rocks and I would go see him in concert if I could.
16. I am a gigantic procrastinator.
17. I love to write and I hate to write. I will resist sitting down with my laptop until I finally berate myself enough, and then when I finally DO write, I don't ever want to stop. Sometimes I fall asleep and bonk my head on the top of the computer lol.
18. I want to tattoo my entire body, but I won't because I'm not cool enough to get a job where it doesn't matter.
19. I know all the words to every System Overload song and I have been to more of their concerts than I can remember. How they are not world famous by now I will never know.
20. When I'm upset, I use words from every language I know except English. It's not something I do consciously.
21. My brain fails sometimes. I haven't been in the South for a long time, but I will still speak rapid Spanish at my coworkers... knowing they are all Japanese.
22. I hate applesauce and orange juice with pulp in it. I won't touch either.
23. I was Science Club President in high school and someone has reminded me of it at least once a month for the last three years. Do you remember when we...
24. I have to multitask. I cannot sit at a computer without watching tv, listening to music, talking to seventeen people and typing this at the same time. Same goes for cooking - I will read a book and make notes for stories and stir the macaroni and play with the dog all at the same time. If you ever see me sitting still, I'm probably dead.
25. We own about 500 DVDs and 300 video games on seven different consoles. I hardly use any of these anymore.
26. I have no memories of my parents being married. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.
27. I was in a car with someone who abandoned their dog on a dirt road near the woods. I will never forgive them for that.
28. I argue with myself mentally. A lot. Sometimes I worry if I'm sick.
29. I only have two close girl friends who don't have kids. I often with the others had waited just a little longer before taking such a big step.
30. I own twelve pairs of Mark Ecko's shoes and some of those are the same design in different colors. Let's not even get into the heels...
31. I was the biggest tomboy when I was a kid. I never had a real interest in makeup or pretty clothes or even getting a haircut until I was 16.
32. I listen to more classic rock than you can shake a stick at.
33. I can use phrases like 'more ___ than you can shake a stick at' and not get embarrassed. You ought to hear my family.
34. I cannot imagine having been born anywhere except Texas. I'm even contemplating getting a Texas shaped tattoo.
35. I curse like a sailor. A lot of men have told me that I look like a little innocent, sweet girl, but when I open my mouth their jaws dropped.
36. Somewhere between the age of 17 and 22 I acquired a sarcastic sense of humor. Sometimes it gets me in trouble at work.
37. I get really flustered when someone I don't know stares at me, even my customers.
38. I'm one of those people who will spend forever thinking of the perfect come-back to something someone said an hour ago.
39. I buy little toys and kid's candy to send out to my family and then I end up keeping it for myself. This has happened more times than I can even tell you.
40. I LOVE STICKERS but I will never stick them to something. They have to stay on their paper or I lose interest.
41. All of my childhood I was either really poor or really well off. There was never an in-between. One moment we had a really nice house with a big tv and the next we lived in a car in a parking lot until somehow miraculously we had a really nice house again. I still don't know what the fuck was going on.
42. I love to travel. I want to go on a road trip with all of my friends, it doesn't matter where the hell we go as long as we are going.
43. I miss school and I wish I could go back and do the things I never had the balls to do.
44. I am most self-conscious about my mouth. I hate my teeth and I would take out however much money in loans as it took to fix them - if my friends and family didn't tell me not to. Apparently they think my gap teeth are cute? It makes me feel a little bit better about myself at least.
45. My Daddy used to be a great painter. He was on disability for a long time so he stayed at home and there were paint bottles and brushes every where in his house. He was always excited to show me what he'd done since the last time I was there. I miss that so much.
46. I always feel like I am holding myself back from my full potential. I even argue against myself when my supervisor wants to place me in a higher responsibility position and I don't finish a lot of the things I start even though I'm really good at most of them.
47. I can't sing to save my life.
48. I love bugs. I love love love them. I like to look at their little eyes and legs and watch them move. My favorite insect is preying mantis ever since I found a baby one on my shirt (it was probably about as big as this ___. SO cute.) I get frighteningly angry if anyone kills any living thing, but I especially have a problem with people killing spiders or bees.
49. My house is always messy. That's why no one has been allowed to come in for about two years lol.
50. This damn thing took me an hour and a half to finish. I really need to find a way to focus on one thing for longer than five minutes -_-
