I really don't get why some FF fans hate/dislike FFVIII, IX, and XII. It's kinda shameful, really. I'll have to admit FFXII is annoying since it's so damn long, but the characters aren't bad, and neither is the story. FFVIII had a great story, decent fighting system, and very well developed characters. FFIX had an amazing story, class system, and incredibly well developed characters.
I dunno. I'm just very fond of IX...I don't like to see it getting beat up for it's cartoon-ish look. Which is pretty shallow, but I guess a majority of FF fans are graphics whores anyway if they complain about the incredibly slight downgrade FFXIII got due to multi-platforming. I mean, really, who else can you think of in the FF series who grew up/developed as much as Vivi did? I still think IX is Vivi's game...in a sense. Or he's the second main character.
