A lot of fiction and some hard fact
I've never had this happen to me before, so it's a bit of a shock. I descend into my RPS madness, join an lj list and then one of the mods dies. And I didn't know him, being new, but it's still really strange almost-grief.
Anyways, I went on a road trip to Bristol yesterday with mantium, so we could catch a Serenity preview. We first missed our junction because we were talking but didn't realise until six junctions later, so turned back six junctions before pretty much returning in the same direction via an A road. After that, none of the directions made sense, so we stopped at a pub at 8.30 (when the film was meant to start), got directions and arrived late. We dived into our seats as the logo came up - good timing!
They killed Wash. :( And Book, but I care less about Book.
It was a good film, actually - they gave the Reavers backstory, they resolved all their major arcs, they pretty much fixed River, and Simon and Kayleigh finally got together, yay!
But they killed Wash. In the middle of a classic, hilarious line, and that makes me sad. :(
And I've finally watched the first episode of Lost.
I found my first slash pairing within ten minutes - go me!
I like it, actually - I liked the 'action' sequences at the beginning, and while it's not quite what I was expecting, it's good. Dom is FUNNY (big surprise) and Ian Somerholder (sp?) is just pretty.
But what the frell is with the monster in the woods?! I thought this was drama, not sf&f! Oh well, I'm sure it'll all be revealed.
