Soo...
After Wednesday, I have finished medical school (hopefully forever), and I have about six weeks to do not-a-lot before the Real World of Work kicks in and I have do important doctory-type things.
Therefore, I'm doing something I haven't done for YEARS and forming:
The Summer Watch ListThis is primarily a list of television shows that I

Set-up is this: Juliana Margulies plays Alicia Florick, whose husband Peter (a former Chicago state attorney) has been jailed after a very public sex & corruption scandal. She returns to her old job as a litigator (Josh Charles plays Will, her boss and friend from Georgetown) in order to rebuild her own reputation and provide for her 2 kids.
There's also a competition going on between Alicia and Cary, another new start at the law firm, as they're both on trial and there's only one permanent spot. A lot of it is legal shenanigans with the case of the week, but the Florrick scandal is a recurring arc thru the season (being purposely vague because I don;t want to give too much away!) But its a great show - strong female characters in Alicia, Diane (Wills partner at law firm, played by the faboulous Christine Baranski) and P.I. Kalinda (Archie Punjabi - if you don't love Kalinda, I will eat my hat!!)
Long post is long.... I will finish by saying they had me hooked at the end of the pilot, and it has not disappointed me yet!! :-)

You've also reminded me to stick Sports Night on there, because I haven't watched that yet either!

Another show you might like and I'm not sure if you ever watched - Jericho. Ran on CBS for 1 season 2006-7, got cancelled, fans protested, it was brought back for 7 eps and then cancelled again. (Insert long, profanity filled rant here.)
It's about how a small Kansas town copes in the aftermath of a catastrophic nuclear attic; there's also a mystery as regards who is behind the attack... (again, trying not to give too much away here!) Awesome cast - Skeet Ulrich is the main lead, his father is played by Gerard McRaney, who has been in everything! Lennie James, the awesome British actor, plays the mysterious newcomer to town who seems to know more about the bombs than he's let on....
First half of s1 is slow, but when they get to the back end of the season it gets darker and just unmissable telly. S2 is only 7 eps, but oh my god, they are BRILLIANT (and they do a BAD BAD THING in these eps, and you will know it when you see it!)
You should watch this show. It is the kind of show you would like. (Nods solemnly) Plus, you know its been cancelled going into it, so no heartache!!
