Talk about going out with a bang! What a season finale!
Every ship going in this show got a loving mention: Gwen soothing Morgana after her nightmare, Morgana physically trying to prevent Arthur leaving, Gaius comforting Uther, Merlin prepared to give his life for Arthur's, Gwen's speech of faith followed by Arthur's flirting - EEEE!
Nimueh is a complete and utter cow. And now very dead - way to go New High Priest Merlin! However, the Dragon does not look like a happy lizard - HE TRIED TO KILL MERLIN!
I mean, seriously, what the hell?! He tried to kill Merlin! What was he thinking? And now he is not pleased about Nimueh's death, but what can you do?
Morgana the Seer is getting extremely creepy, but very well-acted.
Arthur is dense as all get-out. I mean, seriously, Merlin saying all those nice things? SUSPICIOUS! Clearly a man about to do something incredibly stupid, n'est pas? Nevermind, Arthur - you have your looks. Even when half-dead, you're still a fine specimen of manhood.
The Nimueh-Merlin battle was stunning, and I was incredibly impressed with the BBC's ability to put together a trailer. 'You should not have killed my friend' - very good misdirection!
I cried when Uther cried and when Merlin cried, which led to a lot of crying, really. Still, AMAZING - and damnit, why do we have to wait months for more?!
