Stargate Atlantis Season 5 and BSG 4x1
So marzie_pan came round. Which led to copious amounts of sci fi.
That was a bizarre opening scene. I mean, really. John/Teyla random crap!
But then it got better, though the pacing seemed strange. They made a big thing of Rodney delivering the baby, but then they got off the ship in a flash. With John holding the baby (as you do).
The second episode really got it all going! :D Carson's alive! With really bad hair! And now on Earth. :(
Yet the multi-ship freedom of SGA is back in force. The most gorgeous Rodney/Carson revelation, with neither of them in the scene: Rodney's been telling Carson's frozen body everything that's been happening. Just, guh. That is beyond adorable. Does anybody need further confirmation after that?
Then both Rodney and Ronon concern for Jennifer, and a smidge of Ronon/John (I don't ship them, but I see it). It was good.
Wolsey is a pain but redeemable. I love how the doors won't open for him!
I can't believe they've packed Carson back to Earth. Rodney needs to write him letters, or something.
The third...well, it was a Ronon episode. Satedans show up, chaos ensues, Wraith get involved, heroic rescue. The end.
And the fourth was a better episode, though I was expecting switching Daedaluses (Daedali?) over Atlantis, not them switching realities. I want the odd cybernetic aliens to turn up in Atlantis now!
All in all, strong start. Now, when's Carson coming back?

"Don't lose me this time, Apollo." "Oh, not a chance." The hug between Kara and Lee? Beautiful. And what did she say to him? "Okay, me too." One guess what Lee said to her. One guess.
Sam's Cylon powers repel the attack! Kara said she'd shoot him in the head! Gaius has a freaky cult all of his own!
And Lee looks hot in a jumper. Yum. Never change, Lee. Never change.
Oh, yeah, and Kara's about to shoot Roslin. DAMN YOU, STEPH!
