Torchwood is for GEEKS
So, I used to think the Google guys had a lot of time on their hands. I mean, every April they roll out this impressive-looking scam. Geeks, I thought. Far too much time.
But that is absolutely nothing compared to Torchwood.
There's a game on the official website. Ianto sets you missions and you have to give him an answer. This week's was 'who was the last person to see Conrad before he called the scary radio show?'.
They have made five - count them - FIVE websites!

The last one is just an advert on the Dark Talk site! And they are all loaded with flash videos - which are extremely temperamental, annoyingly - and graphics, and these cute little disclaimers in case people think they're real websites.
And all for an out-of-continuity game, which will be refreshed every week.
I admire the level of geekery this takes to pull off. This is definitely better than the Hub.
ETA:: Though, to be honest, we haven't really lost the Hub, because if you play the game, you can see all the episode files and read the Torchwood members' e-mail.
