Wow, it’s nearly Christmas - maybe I’ll get an AIM screen name for Christmas! Any suggestions??

You know what? I love living in Los Angeles. Yeah the traffic sucks and I can’t drive around like I learned to in 2 Fast. The summers (when I’m here) can be brutal. But sunny winters in the high 70’s, well it really is great, it actually topped 80 the other day - and I spent the afternoon at the beach, it totally fucking rocked. I’m glad I’m not in the City this year, even though there is nothing like Christmas in Manhattan. With the weather this year - and the strike…UGH. I’ll take the sun, the surf, and accept the traffic as the blight in my perfect little world.

OK so I saw King Kong last week, and it really is three hours long, with the “commercials” three hours and 15 minutes. It’s really cool though and the feel of the era is really there. I love that. When a movie really gives you a real feel for the time period it is set in. The last movie that really put me there was Titanic, another long movie. But I don’t think it’s just length, it’s the quality of detail. That attention to detail that allows me to open up and submerge myself in the moment. Wow it kinda sounds like I’m not talking about movies anymore doesn’t it?
