Art dump: Pineapple
I hate summer sometimes; When the weather hits a certain temperature where it's hot enough to make you squirm but not hot enough to make you think it's cost effective to turn on the AC. It doesn't help at all when your cintiq is hot as hell and roasting the undersides of your arms. X_X
I actually got stuck with a major artist block/frustration block with the original scene, so I did what usually worked best; Took a step back, re-read the scene, and worked on one that precedes (or follows) my target page. Personally I do like the top most image other then the lack of force behind the punch. The problem is that I don't know if I should use the force of blood to enhance it make it a blur line fest, or stationary blow. The other scenes vary from major redos to passable for me...
Speaking of stepping back, I also took the time to try and test out more of ArtRage Pro's brushes, namely the watercolor brush. I like it actually.
Also, I doubt your wondering this, but I didn't choose a sun theme for bubbles just because of her personality. I personally don't follow the more widely believed that Blossom and to some extent Brick (though I am more willing to believe that then Blossom) is a fire attributed person, she is more like a water/ocean to me... Bubbles is the fire (or in this case, energy through radiation) type in my mind, since as all you avatar fans should know blue-white heat is hotter then orange-yellow flame. Also, considering that in the whole spectrum of things, Bubbles is the strongest in terms of physical strength of her sisters, though you wouldn't believe that from her archetype though starfire kinda also fits that...; I mean come on, you never know how harsh the sun is until your skin gets burned after all. Plus Boomer is sooo fits the moon image... I need to work on that.... *mulls over it*
urgh, I may just transfer over to deviantart since no one really sees these... but these are too crap to put on there... argh
