Beautiful queer house sublet in CD, Feb. 15- April 15 (or start date March 1st)
(hey folks - we're still looking for a sublettor for my housemate's room - please pass on!)
House with back yard, breakfast nook in cute kitchen, spacious living room and craft room with original dark oak trim, large basement with storage and washer/dryer, dishwasher, parking space, and wireless. Bottom level of the house (super nice/quiet brothers living upstairs), #48 literally outside the front door and very close to #2, #3, #4, and #8 bus lines, near gas station/convenience store and public swimming pool. So basically, a great location and a beautiful house!
It is a part of a two bedroom and you would be living with a super great queer gal who is a craftress, in early 30s, working as development associate at a local arts organization and also has a dog. The dog has some special needs and requires a person who has extremely good self control around not petting and getting super friendly with dog as he is a rescue and can get triggered or scared by others if they get in his face, even if it's well intended. He's recovering from a major injury and will frequently be in his own room.
The room for rent has a closet, desk, bed (with bedding and blankets that can be used), small bookshelf and lamps. Food space is separate but things like spices and such shared. The living room has a tv for movies and a good movie collection (lots of gay movies!) and there is also a front deck if you want, but it'll be a bit cold out. Water, sewage and garbage/recyling are covered in rent and bills include wireless, gas and electricity which at this time of year add up to around $75 or so. Bedrooms use electric heaters and we only turn on house heat when using common space.
It's a very relaxed house and a great place to find some peace and quiet or refuge at the end of the day. Ideal roommate would be queer/trans friendly, not a party monster, good communication skills, good with the dog situation, into sharing chores and have reliable income. Must also be able to do quick background check with landlord.
Starting date is flexible: as early as Feb. 15th and late as March 1st.
End date: April 15th, or April 1st if not able to stay till the 15th.
Rent is $550.00 per month.
