Dear Author, thanks for taking a shot at this! This post is full of suggestions, but you can merrily ignore them if you want to go in a different direction. And really do pick any of the pairings listed in my sign-up - they're not all mentioned here but it would be great to get fic for literally any of them. The only thing I'd really like taken into consideration is avoiding my squicks etc. as listed right below.
Stuff I'd prefer not to have: Cheating, dirty talk that's not intentionally ridiculous, focus on character death, heavy D/s, rape, mind-control, focus on kink over everything else (there is one exception under Homestuck).
General stuff I like: explorations of non-human mindsets; humour; understanding conveyed without words; cooking for a partner/potential partner; setting with a presence; some action-adventure type happenings, people learning to work together. I tend to prefer happy endings, but with some pairings things lend themselves to tragedy and pain so feel free to make it hurt good and proper if that's where the story leads you. I love a buddyshipping dynamic, and there are several pairings here that could apply to - characters skipping back and forth over platonic and romantic, dating without realising, awkward attacks of UST.
Discworld
Anything that's mostly canon-based, please. (Although now I'm suddenly thinking cracky Coffeeshop AU in a fit of contrariness, and it has a strange fascination?? If you feel up to that, go for it.) For a Granny Weatherwax/Nanny Ogg fic - Nanny seducing Granny in their youth would be so great. I feel like offers must have been made.
Homestuck
Preferably no humanstuck, though I'm cool with other kinds of AU - everybody on the meteor, trolls and humans living together, no-Sgrub, whatever.
Notes on a few of the pairings:
- If alpha-flavour Jade/Rose or Disciple<>Redglare, I'd prefer something that's canon-compliant. Not necessarily in all details, but the basic background.
- The sign-up says Porrim<>Latula because I was charmed by how they seemed to find a new groove in their relationship in Openbound 1 after so many millennia, and then promised to start talking more. It seems like a situation where moirallegiance could develop. But I haven't yet found spanking fic for them, which is a shame since the scenario is presented on a platter. So if you want to write the Porrim♥Latula spanking kinkfic instead, :D. I'd prefer not to have a moirallegiance spanking fic, though.
- Terezi<>Vriska: Once I saw a discussion of an AU where Terezi had a pale crush on Vriska, and it is an awesomely painful idea. Settling on red or black in the end is cool too, but I'd like to have most of the focus on a moirallegiance dynamic between them.
Marvel Avengers movieverse
I don't know a thing about the comics, but feel free to add elements of that so long as it's easy to follow for a movieverse person. Rival-or-hateshippy Natasha/Sif could be great. Warriors-in-arms companionship too, but there's scope for Sif to be dismissive of Natasha's skill set and I so wouldn't object to them fighting it out.
Crossover: The Losers (2010)/The Avengers (2012): Aisha al-Fadhil/Natasha Romanoff
Again, don't know a thing about either of the comicverses. It's hard to say much else, my brain short-circuits if I think about this pairing too long. Maybe it's a chance run-in when they piss off the same people, maybe SHIELD is taking an interest in Aisha/the Losers/Max, maybe it's a pre-canon thing where two girls learning to be furious badasses feel an understanding with each other. No sex if it's the latter, please.
Gunnerkrigg Court
Porn in this fandom would be going to a weird place for me, probably. I don't object if the characters are aged up, but uh. it's basically not my first choice.
- Paz/Zimmy: my pet crack ship goes solely off the idea that Paz could possibly speak to the spiders in Zimmy's head with a reasonable amount of safety. And then things get weird...ly romantic! (Paz/Zimmy/Gamma is cool too.)
- Annie/Kat: if you feel like indulging in theories on Kat's steampunk mantis angelsoul and how Annie might react to that, hell yeah go for it.
- blue fairy/Red: it would be interesting to see this before they turn human when they seemed to be way more secure in their affection for each other.
Soon I Will Be Invincible - Austin Grossman: Elphin/Fatale
I got the sense of both the characters becoming more real as the story progressed, and of them growing more real to each other. It would be awesome to see that continue in fic, and maybe following up on what's going to happen with Elphin after the hammer incident.
