I had actually decided to read Katekyo Hitman Reborn quietly, in private, and with shame, which seemed an appropriate way to treat creepy porn I hated myself for reading. (Spoilers for chapters in the 320s, just so's you know.) However, it looks like there's still more to KHR than that storyline, and I still love it, and chapter 322...

Well, Hibari's fights are great. That chapter where he beat Gola Mosca was my favourite for ages because: One-Hit Knock Out! In a shounen manga! VS. Genkishi was also awesome, what with breaking down the base with hedgehog upon massive emotionally troubled hedgehog, and VS 500 keeps up the tradition.

Okay kids, Where's Wally?!

--90% of people who post this page will make that joke, I'm sure. It's disappointing that none of the Heidis are doing anything weird - there should be one in the crowd that's moonwalking or petting a rabbit or something, for kicks.

I like this speech - because of what you can imply about Gokudera + Tsuna, haha these are my priorities (even if Gokudera does not necessarily philosphise the way Hibari does, it does sound fitting! :D) - but mostly because it's a simple switch to the concept of pride these battles work on, but a powerful one, and it's getting through to Tsuna. It's kind of awesome and bizarre that Hibari is the one to snap Tsuna out of his funk. Sure, he was part of the grand TYL triad ... but Hibari. And hey, the speech also shows the bloodthirsty little animal can think!

I have no idea why people on hitman_reborn are going on about Hibari's expression on page 2. (That's a lie. I was also impressed. But--) This is clearly his winning face of the chapter:

Murderer, my goodness. And get a room you two! There was so much 1827 previously that I didn't know what to do with myself, and then suddenly ... these feelings ... these Weekly Shounen Jump feelings of shipping intense bitter rivals.

Adelheid would be a great girlfriend to have, speaking of rooms. If somebody objects to her and her partner's public displays of affection, she can light her ring and BAM, three-story diamond castle as fine as anything out of the Barbie catalogue.

This moment is so tender I just STARED. I keep forgetting how nice Hibari is to his animals - it almost feels out of character, but thinking back, he's always been this sweet with Roll and Hibird. It boggles the mind. It's still amazingly ridiculous that his bond with Hibird is sufficient to make it change along with his armour.

THIS is neat

and so is THIS.

Hedgehogs are clearly all you need in battle; more particularly, hedgehog bombs. This fight really needs to be animated.

I wish Adelheid didn't look scared - can't blame her, but it would have been nice if she looked angry instead. I'm going to pretend this means she is completely unused to being beaten ... and that she's never seen a nutbar like Hibari in action and aimed at her before, because seriously, you can't blame her.

And for some reason I AM EXCITE about seeing Alaude and getting that "first Cedef" titbit. Didn't realise I cared ... but the story about the fonding of the Vongola is interesting, and we aren't getting many details about it after all.

Another thing that's great is that Spade is making an in-text reference to the correlations between the first and tenth generations. If it's meant to be odd and highly suspicious, as opposed to be merely a sad, sad failing at creativity in coming up with new characters, I might end up singing praises. And I'm blaming the Cervello for the odd suspiciousness right now ... mostly because I blame the Cervello for everything and they still need to show up this arc. Calling it!

Tsuna's face. You guys. Tsuna's adorable. little. face. So cute!

freakin a, reborn!
