(no subject)
I am DONE! Done with proofreading crossword puzzles, which was what made me Ms Not Appearing On LJ (and Dreamwidth, actually). I was starting to remember them. This probably means I missed mistakes but one more look at those things and I will leak black, white and alphabet soup from every pore. The nice thing about staring at crossword puzzles, though, is finding out about obscure stuff - e.g. the animals below.
This is an excuse for adorable, yes.

Probably I should start posting on baaaaabyanimals and have done with it.
Also, today I played my part in economic repression! it fucking sucks. WOW. We don't accept handwritten manuscripts - fair enough, it's hard to read, but there's a bunch of people who cannot afford typists, and I get to tell them that means, in essence, they should shut up forever. Bright side, I googled a bit and found out that we are affiliated with a community publishing project for self-publishing, getting started writing, etc. Coulda told me that, company! But now I have something to tell others, for what it's worth.
Another thing that's done: khrminibang! I actually fucking finished something for it!
The fic is self-indulgent, boring, incoherent, and seriously so self-indulgent* but there's time to fix that and mostly I WROTE SOMETHING 10000 WORDS LONG AND IT WAS PRACTICALLY ON TIME. One day late because this is me, sob, BUT PRACTICALLY ON TIME!! Although I hope artists skip it so no one has to plough through that mess. It might be 10000 words long but there is no reason on God's earth for this to be the case.
Thoughts on minibang summaries:
That's more het than I expected! Dino/Bianchi sneaked up and stole the hearts of a chunk of fandom, huh? I ... am looking forward to that relationship drama 59-80-27-95 fic with TYL in the mix ... A LOT.** Some of the gen fics sound really interesting - "23. Dino and his journey to be Don Cavallone" = yes!
Most importantly: HAHAHAHA THERE'S A MAFIA AU. I love, love, love, that you can legit write a mafia AU in this fandom. LOVE. I've wanted to do that sometimes, but what do you do about Arcobaleno? It seems like cheating to have them as adults. And a bunch of Japanese heirs to the Italian mafia? Yamamoto's/Nana's/Kyoko's/Bianchi's brain?
And Hanna updated. Ah! Love!
* But it reminds me of the fic of mine that people seem to like the most, which is 1 page set-up and 11 pages dudes having a conversation. I keep waiting for a review that goes 'where is THE PLOT?' but that kind of story is what fanfic is for, I guess.
