I was reading some of articles about xenophobia in South Africa. Ai, ai, ai.
A woman on why Zimbabwean men should go back home (one amongst several reasons):
"If they have a Xhosa girlfriend and they fight, they beat the girl. They're not hitting her like the way a South African man would. They fight like she's a man."
What is there to say?
Then another article made me burst out laughing. Clarification, in case the term is too colloquial: Airtime is a voucher for X amount of money that lets you make cellphone calls. A foreign-owned shop near to an old man has been burnt down, and he's upset:
"They were good people and their prices were good. We bought on credit. Where must I buy my bread and airtime now?"
XD You don't know how TRUE this is. These are our priorities. People often have no job, no money - but they have a cellphone!
