Rarepair Fest 2017

Dear author/artist

Thanks for taking a look at my letter. However: also feel free to ignore everything about it, aside from the list of things I'd prefer not to show up. This letter is for inspiration and giving an idea of what I'd like, but please don't feel bound to it if you've got another idea. I am really not picky and consume fanworks across a fairly broad spectrum.

Please don't include:
In art:
- One person completely clothed while the other is completely naked.
- Characters looking at the fourth wall.

Overall:
- Anything extremely violent as it is occurring. Aftermath is fine.
- Soulbonds (with things like sharing thoughts or pain, or sensing each other all the time), except where requested.
- Fisting.
- Rape/noncon.
- Extremely underage sex; age 16 and up is fine.
- Steampunk.
- Infidelity. Open relationships are fine though, so long as the focus is the requested ship.
- People getting eaten as anything more than a brief mention.
- Non-canon character deaths, except where requested, and even then feel free to swing things around for a happy ending.

The most general of prompts, applicable to all ships:
Art prompts: kissing (especially lips, back, palm), wearing each other's clothes, high-fives, AU character designs, season-themed drawings (winter especially), mermaid AU, touching very lightly - fingertips, a brush of hair, a peck on the cheek
Fic prompts: body swap, genderswap, demon AU, soulmate AU, fanfic amnesia

Voltron: Legendary Defender
General prompts: Time travel where a future version of a character comes to help the past ones out. Future fic where the war has dragged on and on; something a bit darker in tone than canon would be welcome, though not to the extent of like, the paladins becoming merciless killing machines. Influences from mystical robot lion bonding.

Coran/Lance - They feel like they're often on the same wavelength and I like how that means they sometimes fall into understanding each other well, especially when Coran's free-range mentorship method strikes Lance strongly, and sometimes they just act mutually like goofballs.
Prompts: Bonding through going on an adventure alone. The slipperies. A handler/spy kind of situation - Coran has to guide Lance via audio into accomplishing some mission; it's alternately tense and entertaining. Coran making a point of it to help Lance train, knowing Lance does better with lots of company and positive feedback ... and then things don't stay quite as mentor/mentee as they should.

Allura/Haggar - I uh, basically want horrific fuckery. Messing with minds, messing with bodies, vicious fighting, everything terrible all the time. I'd prefer a happy ending for Allura at least but it's not necessary.
Prompts: soulmate or soulbond AU, claustrophobic and filled with attendant doom in the idea of their connection. A glimpse into how they might have interacted on Altea, before the Galra betrayal. Haggar trying to turn Allura into a weapon/battery/something freaky. Forced into a situation where they have to work together.

Hunk/Vrepit Sal - bring on the crack. Doesn't have to be all ridiculous, but I do kind of want Vrepit Sal chasing Hunk all over the galaxy for wooing purposes based purely on his talent in the kitchen, so...
Prompts: Food kink. Vrepit Sal legit defecting from the Galra for Hunk and his talents. Soulmate AU. The rest of team Voltron having no idea how to react to this relationship (except maybe Keith, who might want to needle Hunk a little as payback for all the questions after the half-Galra revelation). Hunk not even understanding why his instincts are that it's okay to trust this guy. Hunk goes back to the space mall in a new disguise, but Sal would know that "space pirate" culinary genius anywhere.

Allura/Coran/Hunk/Keith/Lance/Pidge/Shiro - a team that's been together for long enough that boundaries begin to blur. Everyone doesn't necessarily need to be together, but they absolutely don't mind who hooks up or gets romantic with who in the team.
Prompts: Fighting a new threat totally different from the Galra (maybe a crossover with Homestuck, and the Alternian empire needing to be kicked back into place?). Going to Earth - whether for warning them about incoming threats and trying to get them prepared, or for meet-the-family, experience-our-former-lifestyles type awkward fluff. Getting each other presents. Gossip from various planets that they visit.

Allura/Shay - I like them for cuteness, alien weirdness, princess carries, sharing mystical links to a planet, and potential development of their places in the ongoing struggle against the Galra.
Prompts: arm-wrestling. Shay asks to leave the Balmera and journey with the Voltron team so that she can experience more things, and Allura has to help her maintain her quintessence after the influence of the planet is removed. Negotiating the power dynamics between them; Shay doesn't seem at all intimidated but I imagine Allura has been brought up to be very aware of potential pitfalls, personal and diplomatic, in getting into a relationship with a non-royal person whose planet depends on her for its health. Xeno PWP. Lady/knight type AU.

Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling
General prompts: Whimsical worldbuilding, art of broomstick rides, magic boarding school shenanigans (usage of the Room of Requirement is always nice), gratuitous dragons, AUs where they're sorted into different houses

Regulus Black/Barty Crouch Jr. - I like the idea of them as a look at the weight family can have and what it can be like to try and get away from that influence. They ultimately go to opposite extremes, but could they have supported each other and got to a better place together, or would there be a bittersweet and complete parting of ways?
Prompts: spy games where Barty suspects Regulus of betraying the cause. Established relationship or maybe intense friendship with unspoken romantic feelings, and feeling a chasm open between them as they stop believing the same things. Less fraught times back at school. Barty coming round to Regulus's point of view. Arranged marriage (make up any Weird Pureblood Traditions needed). Sitting together in a corner at a fancy gathering.

Ginny Weasley/Blaise Zabini - I'm fascinated by Blaise due to his family life and the impact that might have had on him, and I like the idea of Ginny with him because she isn't cowed by anything, even the serial killer in his background probably, and never mind any nobby attitude he might give. If they were put together they could spark off each other very nicely.
Prompts: they work together - e.g. school project, or jobs after school (can be non-canon ones), or undercover as part of an AU where the war goes on longer (in which case there could be some which side is he really on? tension with Blaise). Meeting the other's family, managing the ensuing awkwardness. Afflicted by the same magical malady. Any situation where they end up as rivals. AU where Ginny finds Riddle's diary only when she's older, Blaise somehow discovers this, and feels like he must get involved as a point of Slytherin pride.

Albus Dumbledore/Tom Riddle | Voldemort - I like the idea of titans locked in a struggle, or of a Machiavellian power couple that are not what you could call evil but are also, after their influences on each other, more distinctly morally grey than they otherwise would have been. (Okay, so Dumbledore is already pretty morally grey, but I'm imagining something where it's more obvious and indulged in.) I'd prefer Riddle being at least 18, and no predatory actions or grooming from Dumbledore's side.
Prompts: A fascination with the map of the London Underground Dumbledore has on his knee. Dumbledore ended up as one of the Horcruxes but is a match in power for Voldemort, and instead of being able to kill each other they wield power over each other. Having to team up to fight something/someone else. Magic academia AU where the struggle for relevance and influence goes in a very different way. Crossover or fusion with a different setting's use of magic - e.g. Lord of the Rings, Discworld.

Marvel Cinematic Universe

Aleta Ogord/Stakar Ogord - backstory and badassery and Ravager history and customs. They come over as decent people, but their job description is "Ravagers", for crying out loud, so how does that work? Aleta and Stakar run separate crews - are they apart more than they're together, and did that used to be different?
Prompts: How they started on their lives of crime and met each other. Getting back with the gang and going to steal some shit - for altruism, profit, a bit of both? - and negotiating being in close contact with each other again after a long time apart. Sitting down with Peter and telling him stories about Yondu. The idea from this fanart: "let me pitch Starhawk just being a title the Ogords shared to confuse the hell out of anyone who was trying to tell anyone else about the entity known as Starhawk. #it's a man! it's a woman! iT'S A GOD"

Scott Lang/Peter Quill - well-meaning (semi-)reformed criminals dorking it up. I think they'd really understand each other, but they've also chosen to go in different directions - Scott more law-abiding, Peter going heroic-but-with-criminal-options, and it makes me want to see them bounce off each other and probably tempt each other a little.
Prompts: The Guardians and Ant-Man's criminal crew have to do a heist together. Peter is feeling awkward about impressing and dating Mature Stable Family Man Scott, while the people who know Scott best are mostly going whaaat, that goofball? as they catch on to this. Scott making the discovery that he really doesn't like thing getting rough in bed when it's with a dude ... unless he's the only one getting a bit rough, and hey look, Peter's subby enough for this to work.

Stakar Ogord/Yondu Udonta - I went from zero to shipping in like two minutes, I got whiplash. Yondu's desperation for acknowledgement! "You broke all our hearts." The whole backstory of saving Yondu and providing him with a whole new way of life!
Prompts: Stakar going up against a Kree battalion, ending up saving as many of the people in it as he & his people can ... and then this one blue guy really stands out. Yondu getting hero-worshippy and following Stakar everywhere. Or Yondu going wild in freedom and Stakar partly trying to reel him back in, partly enjoying the excuse to go a little wild too. Last kiss. Pulling off a job with the rest of the team and celebrating it afterwards. (Aleta/Stakar/Yondu is fine too.)

Scott Lang/Luis - They're both hilarious and adorable and I want to see more of what makes their relationship tick. I love the humour that surrounds them but would also be open to seeing a bit more seriousness about how their relationship has gone through changes in circumstance and how they stick together.
Prompts: Their time in prison. Luis taking the very very very long way round asking Scott on a date. Enjoying being part of a crime-fighting team post-movie. Break-in jobs they pulled pre-canon. Telling Cassie stories together. Taking care of the pet giant ant. Luis helping Scott get over lingering fears about the microverse.

Jane Foster/Darcy Lewis - They're an odd couple with different attitudes and interests, and it charms me that they stuck together for years. Is it more fun than being apart? Does it feel like no one else gets what they've been through or how they prefer to live? Maybe Darcy just can't find a new damn job in the US or UK, but she and Jane are relieved to some extent because it gives an excuse to stay with each other.
Prompts:
- Sharing earbuds to listen to music and/or science podcasts.
- Any fanfic romance classic: omegaverse, pretending to be dating, accidentally married, sharing a bed And Also Feelings, sex pollen, etc.
- They go into space and meet the Guardians or Xandarians because infinity stones are now a hot topic in the galaxy; Darcy insists on getting a ray gun, and maybe there's a little rescuing one another depending on what goes down.
- Dark Aether Queen Jane/Darcy. With Jane as seriously evil and Darcy as one of her few remaining links to empathy, or with Jane being amoral in a way that ends up kinda hilarious, like, being really vicious about getting grant money. Possibly Darcy encourages her despite the glowy red special effects. And yes! Fight that one weasel of a scientist who keeps ragging on your work!

Scott Lang/Sam Wilson - they start off as accidental semi-enemies, they end up as teasing friends; I would love the in-between. Or, Scott as the guy everyone keeps telling Sam is a Bad Idea, but the thing is, Sam loves some bad ideas and in addition, Scott really is trying to change.
Prompts: dates crashed by super hero-related weird incidents. When the "Tic Tac" nickname started. H/c post-Civil War as they both feel the pressure of imprisonment/being on the run. Settling back into normal life once the legal issues get sorted out, but missing the time when they were together constantly. Trying out each other's superhero gear. AU where only one of them is a superhero and is trying to keep it quiet.

Nebula/Yondu Udonta - this is here because of that exchange between them that went something like "This is going to hurt!" "Promises, promises," and it was way more flirty than I'd ever have expected, by a lot. Those smiles.
Prompts:
- PWP where it hurts! and they're both very happy with that.
- Alternately, I have a headcanon that in rebuilding Nebula, Thanos deliberately made her "sexier" for use in his plans, and consequently she has hang-ups about sex. So I'd be into something where there's lots of terrifying flirting but they're leery about pushing it further and are going, how the hell do you negotiate something almost like a relationship where you're not sure what anyone involved really wants and hate talking about emotions.
- Yondu swears he's going to take revenge sometime for Nebula shooting his crest, but also makes it sound like a big joke, so no one can figure out if he's serious. Nebula doesn't care and also won't show weakness by avoiding him, and they end up sort of hanging out a lot.
- They're in the Guardians team (or at least loosely affiliated with them), and do a heroic mission together, somewhat to their chagrin.

Drax/Mantis - the camaraderie they found in being socially inappropriate gave me great joy. I'd prefer anything mutually romantic to be a few years down the line; if it's set closer to the timeline of the movie, I'd prefer something with the beginnings of attraction or a crush.
Prompts: Drax has a paradigm shift and finds, to his shock, that he now thinks Mantis is attractive (what does he find attractive other than a non-dancing attitude, anyway?); or Mantis undergoing the same realisation. Training together because Mantis announces she wants to be a more useful part of the team. Making the hilariously shocking discovery that they actually do have boundaries they need to discuss with each other.

Peter Quill/Yondu Udonta - well, I loved how the relationship developed in Vol. 2, but it's still messed up enough for me to ship it. I like how for years they barely had other options for people to form decent relationships with, and how they loved each other in spite of themselves and their circumstances. Many interpretations would work for me, from happy endings and sap to creepiness, dubcon, having to split up, and other dysfunctional elements. It's a weird relationship that has to work around Ravager-style hard living and fundamental misunderstandings. And uh, I'd prefer no monogamy if it's set pre-canon, because I can't buy it for Peter (but as said above I'd also prefer no infidelity; an open relationship is A-OK).
Prompts:
- Translators go on the fritz and can't be fixed for some time, but it turns out non-verbal communication makes some things come across easier.
- Peter's terrible/awesome Ravager life lessons, as learned from and alongside Yondu.
- PWP options: in heat, sex pollen, genderswap, xeno, Peter making a sexy sex mixtape, terrible "going to eat you" jokes.
- Something changing the characters' places on their timelines, like, battle slave Yondu/time travelling post-Vol. 2 Peter, or maybe an AU Peter of about the same age who was abducted by totally different aliens, but escaped and had to make his own way in the galaxy. Or grizzled old famous hero Guardian of the Galaxy Peter/canon-age Yondu who knows Peter's not always so heroic.
- The events of Vol. 2 don't happen, and their interactions are limited to Yondu making a public performance out of "You seriously owe us for that Infinity Stone stunt" and squeezing units and lucrative jobs out of Peter, threats, violence, and escapes. When they finally meet without witnesses around, there are awkward, stilted apologies and signs of affection and it gets way off their usual script and intense and neither of them know how to deal except by hitting up a bar and never talking about it again. ...until next time, maybe.

Gamora/Peter Quill - There is something that gets to me real hard about how these two were in Volume 2. They are friends and co-leaders, they're still growing but they've already grown a lot and it's made them work better together. It's so sweet without being too easy.
Prompts: A few years after Vol. 2, Gamora should stop worrying so much about Mantis picking up on her romantic feelings and blurting them out, and think more about letting Peter know. Mpreg (or just PWP leading to mpreg). Meeting while Gamora is still a daughter of Thanos and Peter a young Ravager - maybe even a business meeting of sorts? Drunken conversations. Meeting Peter's human family. Long-distance communication as they split up to complete missions.

Girl Genius
Malek/Varpa
They enjoy kissing so much! Even knowing it's a distraction tactic used between them, they really, really like the kissing! I love that slight tension between the fake and real feelings and how fast the real feelings seem to have settled in strongly. I also love these two doing cool Smoke Knight tricks off the cuff (even if that does occasionally go wrong, too, especially since now that there's always someone watching).
Prompts:
- Circumstances forcing them to break loyalties with the family temporarily and run off together.
- Anything exploring those alluded-to kissing encounters.
- Getting into a stereotypical adventure narrative - like a Heterodyne Boys type story, or maybe meeting Othar and getting caught up in his view of the world - and throwing things off because they're the main characters when they're supposed to be faceless background ninjas.

Jack the Giant Slayer
With this fandom, I want the same thing for all the ships, so there aren't individual prompts.

General prompts: worldbuilding for the kingdom and the previous use of the crown. Backstory for the characters. Other fairytale elements coming into play (possibilities: dragons, magic trees, fairies). Rebuilding the kingdom. Reactions from others. Class issues and figuring out how to relate to each other and everyone who comments on said issues. Training to fight. Finding new magic artifacts. PWP.

Elmont/Isabelle - long friendship and knowing each other maybe a little better than they ought to. How many times has he needed to take her back, and how did it get so that she doesn't resent him for it?

Elmont/Jack - growing respect and getting to know each other as people. How Elmont goes from being unable to take Jack seriously to giving credit where it's due, and unbending enough to become friends; Elmont embodying a kind of ideal heroism for Jack, and then becomes more and more approachable.

Elmont/Isabelle/Jack - they work together so well, and increasingly understand and respect each other for various reasons as the movie goes on. And each one has an interesting, individualised relationship with the other two, and basically, a whole lot of what I love in an OT3 is right here.

Les Misérables
General prompts: Character studies, arguing out ideals and ideas and etc., being required to do something For The Revolution or at least For Good Revolutionary Friends, werewolf AU, 1830s French fashions (and helping each other out of them, or back into them for sexy domesticity vibes).

Cosette/Grantaire/Marius - I like when the two sheltered ones make more close connections; and while I enjoy the Cosette/Marius courtship, it's also so sweet and pure that I get this urge to stick something contrasting in there, and Grantaire fits the bill.
Prompts: "love triangle" because Marius gets jealous but Grantaire thinks this is hilarious and woos him as well as Cosette with equal fervour and jokes. Jean Valjean's interaction with the triad (whether or not he knows that they're together together) (and pls make Grantaire squirm a little). Debauchery, drunken or otherwise. Dancing.

Grantaire/Marius - I like the idea of these two growing out of their solipsisms and think it would be interesting to see them do it together, starting to point out tendencies in each other that they didn't realise they share, or pick up on admirable qualities that the other doesn't particularly value. And as above, I'd like to see Marius make a friend and do it properly.
Prompts: Captured together. Outrageous flirting at some or the other time when they go out. Marius's brand of obliviousness getting him in deeper than he intends to be, and then finding it difficult to get himself to back out (whether this is with something dangerous, or in bed). Grantaire finding himself perversely endeared by Marius's tendency towards firm convictions, though he thinks they're ridiculous.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood & Manga
General prompts: I'm weirdly into modern AUs, space AUs, and future AUs for this canon. I think it's because of wanting to see how the politics and conspiracies could translate.

Mei/Lan Fan - Two dutiful, skilled people, antagonistic towards each other, who have to learn to get along despite lingering friction because they've got an entire country that needs taking care of and shared secrets about their time in Amestris that bind them together. The way Ling carts Mei off at the end makes me think that he's ready to start treating her as an ally and quite possibly a sister, and I'd like that because it gives even more of a reason for her and Lan Fan to interact more. With aged-up Mei, please.
Prompts: they insist they don't get along up until someone messes with one and the other discovers ferocious protective urges. They're assigned to a secret mission, just the two of them. Going too far during sparring practice/battle, and then having to make up for it. Space AU where one or both are aliens. Sending secret messages to each other.

Ed/Ling - I like the comedy of Ling imposing in strange ways on Ed, happily unrepentant; the serious, sometimes harsh ways they strive for their highly ambitious goals; the trust that develops between them under strained circumstances.
Prompts: Travelling together for fun or profit, rather than having to try to save their countries. Ed is a homunculus along the lines of Greed's old crew. More from their days on the run together - can be hints of romantic feelings, since Ed can be obtuse about that kind of thing and Ling is well aware it couldn't go anywhere much in the future, but I'm never going to say no to tent sex and ribbing from Darius and Heinkel (and whatever contribution Greed wants to make, including if he's involved too). Arranged marriage, by whatever contrivance makes an iota of sense. Fusion with Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.

King Bradley/Mrs Bradley - I find this ship so odd and sweet and horrifying. Did she ever realise that he was a kind of a monster? How inept was King Bradley at interacting with her and others, and how did he learn to be a better human being in the first place?
Prompts: on a family outing with Selim, with undercurrents of strange and disturbing things. Post-canon Mrs Bradley retrospective of her marriage. AU where it comes out early that Bradley is Wrath. Why Wrath chose her. What Mrs Bradley tells nuPride about his "father". Things that Mrs Bradley thought was normal in a man but are actually weird for a human being. Art prompt only: Fluffy, unambiguous mutual affection - having tea together, playing footsie under the table, anything.

Lan Fan/Ling - How did their mutual loyalty grow and stay, especially when Ling makes choices that makes Lan Fan bug out so often, and generally comes across as far less traditional than she is? Part of it comes down to the positions they were raised into and what their society values, but part of it is down to who they are as people, too. I love explorations of that kind of thing.
Prompts: different masks they've worn. How things change once Ling is emperor. Growing up together. Enjoying a meal. Learning how to use new weapons. PWP. Fancy outfits. One playing with the other's hair. Ling helping Lan Fan out with automail maintenance. UST and unspoken understanding that they can't really be together due to the whole Emperor & bodyguard thing. Fusions based on metal arms - Lan Fan is now in a Winter Soldier position and Ling is in a Steve or Natasha position, or perhaps she's like Shiro from Voltron: Legendary Defender and Ling is in a role like Allura's or Keith's.

Yu-Gi-Oh!
Note: I haven't seen Dark Side of Dimensions, so please avoid including anything from that.

General prompt: Characters hanging out with their favourite monsters.

Atem/Thief King Bakura - They both bear the weight of others' influences, expectations, and sins due to the Millennium Items and their creation, and their interaction comes from being representatives of opposite sides - so it would be interesting to see them interact as people, with some of those burdens shorn away or put aside somehow, and find common ground. Maybe in the magic that's part of both of them? Their tendency to never say die?
Prompts: Bakura is taken from Kul Elna the night of the slaughter and raised in the palace. Atem learns of the horrors of the creation of the Millennium Item before Bakura attacks the palace, and goes wildcard to join Bakura's quest for justice. Thief King Bakura pops out of Ryou Bakura's Memory World game and starts running around modern-day Domino while Atem is there too and a chance for bonding occurs. Scar-touching.

Malik/Rishid - right in the loyalty kink. I also love that literal need between them due to the bond that keeps Malik more-or-less himself, the love that grew since they were young, that for a long time they were servant & master more than brothers, and Rishid's desperation to belong.
Prompts: draped in jewellery. Malik pushing too far and Rishid indulging him. Fantasy AU. Tattoo-related TLC and hurt/comfort. Art with Rishid's tattoos redrawn as hearts. Malik going wild once he's free of the Tombs, going after many kinds of experiences - does Rishid get dragged along or is he the safe haven to go home to? Other times when Rishid has had to subdue the other Malik. Malik is born a girl, and his father declares Rishid will take the Pharaoh's memory. AU where Malik wins. Years post-series, Rishid has another family, Malik pines.

Dark Magician Girl/Dark Necrofear - creepy + cute is a favourite atmosphere of mine, and I love explorations of how ka, Duel Monsters, and human beings overlap and intersect. The Magician Girl can be Mana, or can be a totally different card spirit. I like to think of (Bakura's) Dark Necrofear as originally being a soul from Kul Elna, but anything is fine. And uh, please include Necrofear's doll baby to some extent, even if it's just being handed off to another card monster for babysitting, otherwise I'll keep wondering what happened to it.
Prompts: A meeting as humans, and then later a meeting when they've become monsters. They fight alongside each other against some threat in the dark world/hell/Shadow Realm/whatever you want to call it. Dark Necrofear helps show a newly-created Dark Magician Girl how to be a monster, or vice versa. Suddenly they're in the real world, and while Bakura and Yugi flip out about it, they are busy growing closer; or maybe Bakura and Yugi react to an established relationship they had no clue existed.

Thief King Bakura/Rishid - bonding about extremely devoted dedication to bad ideas, and also their families; but then there's also an interesting contrast between their base personalities, with Rishid so stolid and subdued while Bakura is wild and expressive. I'd love something where they become something to each other that is one of very few things that gives them pause in the face of their ultimate goals.
Prompts: getting interesting scars and/or tattoos together (I'd like anything with a sun motif especially). Time travel - Rishid goes back to Egypt or the Thief King ends up in the modern day. The Ancient Egyptian version of Rishid meets the Thief King. Bakura attempts to seduce Rishid into evil plans.

Mokuba/Seto - I love how dedicated they are to each other, Mokuba adoring Seto even when he doesn't have much reason to and Seto always making him a priority, the enormous amount of protectiveness, and how they're both varying degrees of jerks. Like, Mokuba is almost Seto's morality pet except Mokuba will play really dirty on his and Seto's behalf.
Prompts:
- Incredibly bratty seduction from Mokuba, wearing Seto down surprisingly well. Bonus points for tie-yanking.
- AUs based on canon events. For example, a match was won that got lost in canon, Seto coming out of his Punishment Game coma later, a villain winning.
- Seto has an old soul, surrounded by many others from his past life, but Mokuba is newly important to him right through that old soul magic, and I'd really like something about that.
- For fanart especially, I'd love deeply gratuitous cuddliness. Put them on a cloud or in the middle of three dozen pillows or whatever, as well as them being all over each other.

Thief King Bakura/Kisara - for possibilities of fluff as two outcasts find each other and build something genuine, or for possibilities of complete dysfunction as Kisara is desperate to be wanted and Bakura is desperate to make use of the dragon's destructive power, and for the gorgeous grotesqueries of shadows and monsters and character designs I really like.
Prompts: The Kul Elna ghosts react to the burgeoning romance. Kisara backstory (especially if she's not originally Egyptian). I like the idea that Zork influenced the shape of Diabound; so maybe something where they realise the same influence is trying to get at the Blue Eyes. Werewolf AU. Reincarnation.

Homestuck
General prompts: Worldbuilding, humour, species swap

Jane Crocker/Gamzee Makara - For the contrast of the prim and together personality + the person who's an untamed mess and tends to take it easy, Gamzee being one of few opportunities for new company during the long alpha session, both of them having business-minded tendencies, and dealing with mind control and issues of having darker selves.
Prompts: joyfully masochistic Gamzee + reluctant deeply sadistic domme Jane. Bake-off competition. Reactions to their relationship from friends, or maybe Dad. Building surprisingly wide-reaching plans together. Xeno - Jane does have that interest in monsters, maybe exploring a Very Different body is the opposite of a problem for her.

Jasprosesprite/Rose Lalonde - Rose dying of embarrassment and loathing Jasprose in a way she can't leave alone, Jasprose loving herself outrageously and by extension Rose too. Sprites-squared as goofy, godly game-breaks is my fave, especially Jasprose with some hints at eldritch power.
Prompts: More dates with literary allusions, like the Alice in Wonderland-themed date with Nepetasprite in canon. Incest (and now also selfcest!) taboo discussions with others who fall under the Strilonde umbrella, preferably including Davepetasprite^2. Rose comes round to Jasprose a little bit thanks to a fascination with some display of eldritch-princess-doll powers (this can be as simple as a PWP application of tentacles). Going on information from Kanaya and Karkat, Rose sarcastically pretends to be in a blackrom with Jasprose; it works frighteningly well, she is now in the blackrom, she made it hapen.

Karkat Vantas/Equius Zahhak - They're both determined to fit into society, have huge issues about the hemospectrum, and are jerks; but they can also both be sweethearts, and end up being friendly when it seems like it should be the last possible thing. Equius even accepts Karkat as leader, and I am intrigued by how he got there. Red-, black-, or ashenrom (pick any third party but Nepeta or Gamzee) would be great, but preferably not pale.
Prompts: Their journey to tolerating each other, because I don't even know why they would keep each other on their chumprolls to start with. The game ends and the trolls are turned human but with their own memories; troll physical prejudices are challenged. No-Sgrub AU about growing up in the Alternian Empire, especially if they run into situations that the information they got planetside didn't prepare them for. Handsmooches, tender and deferential.

Gamzee Makara/Tavros Nitram/Karkat Vantas - some part of my brain decided that these three are some of the trolls who could (with a bit more maturity) most easily be genuinely nice to each other and who really needed people to be genuinely nice to them, and then I started to love them all in a threeway moirallegiance or matespritship.
Prompts: Figuring out their quadrants - Tavros and Karkat are freaking out, Gamzee's fine rolling with whatever. Long-distance relationship as they try to figure out a way to be together over the vast reaches of the empire. Weird/creepy/sweet rituals for quadrantmates. Reactions to Tavros sprouting magnificent Summoner-style wings.

AR/PM/WV - These characters are fun for the cute, sweet, hilarious weirdness they bring to the table, but also because of the affecting moments of seriousness and isolation and their thoughts on Doing The Job. And I like that they found each other in all that nothing and for a while could ease each other's loneliness.
Prompts: exploration of how carapacian names/duties works. PM becomes the Prospitian Monarch, and it causes issues with WV that all three try to find a way to fix. PM and WV finding a different iteration of AR out there among the carapacians from other games.

Jane Crocker/Meenah Peixes - Good girl/bad girl, except the good girl can be terrible sometimes when she puts her mind to it. I like any interpretations of them that draw from the tense relationship Nanna had with Betty Crocker/the Condesce. And I like the potential in that they've both been raised with expectation of power and influence, and that they're similar enough to be heroes of Life. Where would the sparks fly, how would they clash, when would they get along?
Prompts: cliche high school AU. Anything that amps up the xeno. Something creepy with Jane having remnants of the Condesce's mind control and Meenah being amoral enough to take advantage somehow. AU where they are in line for the same leadership position and fight for it, or both try to abdicate. They're having what Jane thinks of as a fun, light-hearted blackrom, until she does something that she doesn't even realise is hardcore awful until Meenah gets stars in her eyes.

ARquiusprite/Davepetasprite - Weirdness please! Sprites-squared as goofy, godly game-breakers is my fave, and normal sprites and their connection to the game as guides is intriguing too. There are also a number of levels on which these characters can react to each other and the duality in themselves, especially with the influence of the AR-Dave and Nepeta-Equius connections.
Prompts: Advising each other out of doing terrible things - I'd especially like Davepeta doing this for ARquius, who is completely thrown when he starts doing the same thing. The humanstuck version of being these bizarre creatures - maybe there's magic and they're changeling children, or maybe they just make utterly odd fashion choices. Talking about their parts in the game, time loops, and predestination. Plans for the future, in whatever way beings like them can have a future. Fantasy AU.

Sollux Captor/Gamzee Makara - the shooshpap showdown had Sollux flipping between hate and love re: Gamzee problems. Let's go with the interpretation that it was a fully literal representation of feelings, and then please tell me why. It haunts me. It doesn't have to be about that moment, but anything capturing the essence of Sollux suddenly having enough thoughts on Gamzee to think dating him/having feelings for him is a viable option, when before he didn't seem to feel anything beyond a mild urge to mock him.
Prompts: Interacting during Sgrub. The (almost) safe way to use mind honey, and the side-effects. No-Sgrub AU where they escape culling together. Meeting way out in the void or wherever, post-game.

Mad Max
General prompts: Wacky gonzo OTT-ness, beautiful bright colours, the sense of the mythic and dreamlike, anything with the restoration of greenery, trading between different groups and trying to enter Wasteland politics.

I have rape as a DNW but of course it's part of the backstory in Mad Max. References to rape are fine, but please no major focus on it as a central point.

Capable/Nux - She was willing to reach out despite a multitide of reasons not to, he was so floored he could do nothing but accept and reciprocate, and I love to see what might have come from it - good and bad, difficult and easy, as their different beliefs find ways to work together and change. Romantic, platonic, or 'who knows' portrayals of the relationship are all good.
Prompts:
- Post-canon ghost/human relationship full of cute-creepy.
- Homestuck fusion where Nux is Capable's patron troll; cue palerom or redrom.
- Anything filling in the times between the canon moments we got to see; I'd love to see the rest of the conversation in the look-out or Nux comforting her about there being no more Green Place (there was a cut scene like that - here are a few seconds of it).
- AU where Nux gets the reward for some reason (not for impeding the wives' escape) of Joe taking him to the gates of Valhalla, which means ritually killing him. Capable is there to act as a sort of valkyrie, and has about ten terrible minutes to try and be kind to Nux. Something can happen in the nick of time to derail the ceremony, but the Bad End is also entirely fine.

Cheedo/The Dag - I adore how Cheedo and the Dag are constantly at each other's sides. They have an air of intense support and an almost desperation to be together in the way they share personal space, and I want more of that, please. The Dag seems like she could have a somewhat nervous personality, being singled out as a weirdo via her name and spending a lot of time curled into herself, so I'd prefer that it's not only Cheedo as "the fragile" one who likes having the support.
Prompts:
- Riding out across the salt instead of turning back to the Citadel and running into strange things.
- The Dag has magic powers (I would quite like if she had visions).
- Sharing clothes despite having very different tastes.
- The Dag is a captured outsider who gets assessed as a feral (keep muzzled! - she bit Nux when he first broke into the War Rig, after all), Joe tries to get his current wives to tame her, and she and Cheedo bond.
- Politicking with outsiders like Buzzards, Crow People from the swamp, Gas Town and the Bullet Farm, or others; I'd love it if they had to act as spies.
- AU with witch-queen Dag going to negotiate with fairy queen Cheedo, or something along those lines.

Angharad/Max - Angharad is fiery and idealistic and Max is reticent and cynical, but they're both baseline good people and could bring each other balance. I want them to have a chance to properly get to know each other, to see what they could have taught each other, and for them to be quiet and peaceful and helpful together, and occasionally do wild and dangerous things when necessary.
Prompts: Angharad is a selkie. AU with queen/knight. Terrifying revenant Angharad hangs out with Max (is she real or not?). They're both mutants. Angharad pulling daredevil stunts and Max sometimes joining in, sometimes being overcome with the urge to go pls stay safe :<. Max parenting Angharad's kid while she remains in more of an "aunt" role at best, but still ends up spending more time with him as a result.

Cheedo/Toast - When Cheedo tries to go back after Angharad dies, Toast runs after her with a machete to fight off the imperators. Which made me want Toast and Cheedo forming a team where they're both on the more ruthless side of things than their sisters, clever, and willing to do frightening things to protect each other (though Toast is probably more okay with getting violent, while Cheedo would try other methods).
Prompts: Having to fight their way out of something. Learning to ride cars/bikes on their own post-movie. Getting used to being out in the world - especially Cheedo, who's probably the most sheltered of the sisters. Making plans for Citadel's future.

Angharad/Toast - that moment of tension with the gun, where Toast knows how to load it and glares at the others while she does so, and Angharad clearly had no idea this was on the table, makes me want a whole log more about their clashes and also the times when they do understand each other.
Prompts: Toast is sort of the odd one out between the close Angharad-Capable and Cheedo-Dag bonds; sometimes it really gets to her, and Angharad tries to show her she's valued. Reading together as they lounge all over each other. AU with Toast as the leader in the wives' group, and lots of arguments when Angharad feels she has to speak up. Angharad lives, and they find new roles within Citadel society. Terrifying revenant Angharad shows up at the Citadel and hangs out with Toast, who swears she's heard about this kind of thing happening in her time before being taken to Citadel (which might or might not be true). Other secrets Toast has never told the other wives. Angharad learning how to use weapons, Toast helping.
