Kristens Wedding
This is my first attempt at being a better person, and apparently that translates into writing on livejournal :)
The weeks have been flying by! It's crazy. It now feels like fall, and I love it. I love that first fall day feel you get when the leaves are turning and you start having to whip out the winter cloths. I love that everything seems to slow down and relax a little. I love that quaint feeling of depression, that really isn't depression, but is actually a yearly emotion. But most of all, I love that fall brings winter... which brings snow and snow my friend, is one of my favorite things in this world.
Classes have been going... it is a lot of work, but I'm learning a lot and keeping up. I love doing automotive work. Very nice to get your hands dirty after dealing with equations that go on for mile(or kilometers). And for that matter, there are no conversion factors! Taking 5 classes I believe:
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances
Pro-Engineer
Engineering Teams and Theory
Automotive Power Systems
Automotive Ride and Safety
Automobiles In Society
4 labs as well.
We had our first Society of Plastics and Society of Manufacturing Engineers meeting on thursday. No one showed up besides the usual people. I guess I am the vice president of SPE now... whoo? Looks good on a resume I suppose. Homecoming is coming up soon. We got $300 allocated to us to work on the derby cars. Should be fun. We need new wheels for the SPE car, I jumped it last year at the bottom of the hill and ended up ripping off the tread, heh. I also want to see if I can lower the body at all. It would be really cool if we could somehow work up a hydrolic actuator that lowers the car right to the ground once we're clear and off the blocks.
Well, friday I threw a "party". I thought mike and emily were stopping here, but I guess they went right to Battle Creek. Anyways, Ashley Pep showed up with 3 people. Yea, before they showed up nick matt and I were playing risk. So, we played to beer pong and quarters, craig showed up with his friend and I learned it is a bad idea to string a guitar drunk hah. Woke up with a horrible headache the next day.
Got in the road around 12:30. Got there around 2, got dressed, and got out! To the wedding horray!
Very low key. It was pretty informal. But it was nice. Kristen looked really happy. Reception was good. Didn't stay long, the whole thing broke up around 9pm. Hung with the beaver island group :)
Good to see everyone. Mike, leslie, emily, kristen, royce, krystal, darrel, katie, joe, jenny, and megan b, haven't seen her in forever! I've decided I'm moving to Oregon if I ever get the chance... she's very convincing haha.
Everyone left the bar, and of course mike wants to shut the place down, honestly I wanted to go home, but I wasn't going to leave him drinking alone, so I stayed... the asshole got me wasted, like bad. Left around 1:45, started walking in the wrong direction and decided to call the cab guy we found out about. Gets there, get a ride home, and that has been my weekend adventure. I am writing in this right now, I think I'm gonna get a shower, work out, and get some work done. I feel kinda blah, but the "horrible" weather makes me feel better.... I'm strange like that.
I kinda wanted to call megan and see if she wanted to catch a movie, but I think she said today was her family day before she goes back to Portland. Mehr.
