Ok, so I've already posted a movie review on here so time to post some album reviews AND another movie review.
First off, I bought Johnny Cash's new album America V: A Hundred Highways about a month or so ago and from what I've heard, I fucking love it. The album serves as a continuation of America IV: The Man Comes Around and consits of tracks Johnny recorded with Rick Rubin shortly before he died (literally, they just finished the album a day or so before he passed). You really hear how Johnny's age was affecting his singing when you listen to the album because in some songs, his voice is booming and powerful while in others, it's weak and vulnerable. Despite the fact that there are only two original songs on the album, it's still worth picking up.
Secondly, I borrowed my friend's copy of Social Distortion's 2004 album Sex, Love and Rock N' Roll about a week ago and burned myself a copy. This is one of those albums that comes around where there is no song on the album that I don't like. I can't really find much else to say that I absolutely fucking love this CD (I have barely removed the CD once or twice in a week). For those of you who love Social D, buy this fucking album.
Finally, the movie review.
I went to see Clerks 2 with a friend of mine over the weekend. To be honest, I was a tad bit hesitant to see it at first but I was more than willing to give it a shot. To get straight to the point, I'm more than glad I did. Twelve years later and it still has the same dick and fart humor along with the more than occasional "OH MY GOD" or "HOLY SHIT" moments of shock and hilarity. I"m not going to spoil anything for those of you who haven't seen it. Just go see it, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
That's all for now so piss off and do something constructive.
