Behold, another movie review

I went to see Al Gore's movie "An Inconvenient Truth" this afternoon.

For those of you who might not know, former Vice President Al Gore has been involved with the concept of global warming for more than 20 years. He has gone to Congress about it numerous times during his political career. When he ran for the office of President in 2000, they advised him to tone down his speaking out in regards to the issue because it could be considered political suicide to try and push this kind of issue on the American public who was more concerned with other problems like terrorism and the economy.

The movie mainly consists of footage from a lecture he has given countless times in cities around the globe along with scenes of him travelling and visitting the farm where he grew up.

This issue has faced countless amounts of criticism and downright bashing by members of the Republican party because they feel it will take away crucial American jobs while it will, in fact, just shift jobs and quite possibly create even more jobs.

For those of you who are trying to find a break away from the mediocre crap you usually find in today's theatres and are looking for a movie that can make you think, you should definetely see this movie.

If you like this movie, you'll most likely also like another documentary entitled "The End of Suburbia: Oil Depletion and the Collapse of the American Dream."

One other thing I like about this movie is that you find out much more about Al Gore's life and how he became involved with the issue.
