Hi folks! I'm kind of a lurker here, but I come to you today with relevant information!

In light of some of the posts concerning the Takarazuka!Scarlet Pimpernel, I noticed that people have been asking if there's a DVD. I can confirm that one does, in fact, exist. It was released on Saturday, if I recall correctly. You can see it here. There are even CDs, and that's only one of them. There's are two others here and here (this one's sold out as of today and consists of the songs played on a piano).

Thus, if you want the DVD or one of the CDs? There they are. (Please don't have heart attacks over the DVD price.)

However, me being the Takarazuka dork that I am, I must impart some very crucial information to you.

001. There are differences between the Takarazuka version of the show and the one that graced the stages of Broadway. Examples are as follows: Percy starts out the show as being the Scarlet Pimpernel, Frank Wildhorn wrote at least two songs specifically for the Takarazuka production. I'm not sure if there are other differences (although I suspect there might be), so if you're looking for something that stays 100% true to the Broadway musical, you might be disappointed.

002. If you're interested in obtaining any of the merchandise I linked to, you'll want to pay attention to this. None of the online shops that sell Takarazuka merchandise ship overseas. This means you have to go through Crescent Shop (the only shopping service I know of that will buy things within Japan and ship them out of the country).

If you really want some copy of the show, though, I can offer help in the form of a very helpful link that describes the how to buy Takarazuka goods. It explains the process far better than I ever could. It's really not as difficult as you might think it is, and, yes, it's kind of expensive. Such is the problem with importing things. ._.

On a related note, I find that the zebra jacket and hat are even more amusing in Takarazuka form.
