[Explodey time. Yes, Elaine is on that bandwagon too. Because she just can't take it anymore. So, a time close to dawn finds her far, far down the hallway of the tenth floor, where the room numbers stretch into their fourth digits.]

[In her hazy fear, she had set her camera on the desk of a room, and had turned it on to record her actions. The video faces the room's window, where Elaine has placed her palms flat against the glass. She stares out onto the dark grounds, past the infuriating clear veil inches away from her face. She glances at the camera for a moment, blankly, her mouth opening as though she has something she wants to say.]

[She's still confused about her powers in general, unsure if she had ever gotten all of the demiurgic power, or just a part of it. But she remembers the warnings of all the angels, fallen or otherwise. The demiurgic power, the power of God, is the power that built all of creation. It's the power that made the big bang big. She wants to explain that what she's about to do now is use all of it, every single last bit, to destroy the veil, even if it means destroying the Mansion, Wonderland, everything. And everyone. She wants to explain that she's sorry. That this time, the Mansion and the Queen have beaten her.]

[The words die in her throat. The wailing in the background grows louder as Elaine turns away from the camera, her mouth closing, a mix of terror and loss in her eyes.]

[Maybe the video was there just so that people could see her apologetic face. Or so that her friends could see if she did make a hole in the veil, and they could escape even if she died. In all honesty, Elaine doesn't know why she's recording herself. Maybe, at the end, she just wants herself, her image, to live on, because deep down she knows this will kill her, and possibly everyone else.]

[The window starts to sizzle, as her hands begin to glow. The glass starts to melt, exposing the veil just beyond it, and Elaine closes her eyes, releasing the energy she constantly fights to keep inside herself.]

[It feels like dying. It feels like going to heaven. Which doesn't actually feel bad at all.]

[There's a resounding boom, and the view is covered by dust and shrapnel, broken glass and splinters of wood. The camera is jostled, but remains intact. The rumbling goes on for several seconds.]

[And then, a deep, calm silence.]

Oh shit. [As the dust settles, Elaine comes into view. She's in her spirit-walking form, a ghostly image of her true self, her twelve year old self dressed in her old school uniform. Her pale hands are running through her hair, and she's knee deep in rubble that thankfully doesn't hurt her in this form.]

[Her physical body however... It lays at her feet, torn and mangled, the eyes lifeless. There's blood everywhere.]

[Elaine looks at her bleeding body, then out the window, where the sun has just peeked over the horizon, flooding the room in an orange glow. The wailing has stopped, and the resulting silence seems peaceful, serene. Most of the wall is gone, but the veil is still intact.]

[In her spirit form, Elaine shudders and sits heavily on the rubble, covering her face with her hands, scared, sad, and most of all, ashamed.]

[[ooc: Elaine was about to go big bang, but just as she started to release her power, dawn broke. Which means that she snapped out of her terror and thought to herself, what the hell am I doing. She backed out at the last second, and the effort of keeping the power contained ripped up her body. Canonly, spirit-walking can save her from dying even in this sort of situation.]]
