Dear Avatar fandom,
I am NOT a fucking racist bitch just because when I read books, the characters default to white in my head unless the author specifies that they're not white. I went to school with all of three PoC. Excuuuuuse me for growing up in a town that's not exactly known for its diversity. Apparently because of the casting for this godforsaken movie (which is going to suck anyway, REGARDLESS of the casting) I'm supposed to feel bad for being a racist scumbag because of what I think in my head when I read.
If you grow up in Africa and everyone defaults to black in your mind, does that make you racist? NO. So quit fucking saying that white people are racist for thinking what amounts to the same damn thing.
I understand that racism is a huge problem the world over. It makes me ill to think about it. BUT YOU'RE NOT FUCKING HELPING YOUR CASE WHEN YOU START BEING RACIST BACK.
But of course by saying this, obviously I'm racist. Because I'm implying that white people can be the victim of racism, too. OH NOES!
If we're going to be fucking equal, then let's be fucking equal, shall we?
Seriously, all of you making these ridiculously stupid arguments? Go fuck yourselves. You elitist twats have completely RUINED the Avatar fandom for me. I still adore the show to itty bitty pieces, but your self-righteous whining, ostracizing bullshit makes me not want to be associated with you anymore.
