Bye Bye Job -
It’s weird at work, it’s like I have the plague or something.
Since I have continued to get more and more ill and I’ve had all my blood drained only to find out that every thing is fine (kidneys, thyroid and the like). I have found myself in the unenviable position of not being able to work. I informed the temp agency and my manager yesterday. I will continue working half days at least till the end of this week to help train the new girl coming in. I really liked this job, but apparently this is not where the Universe wants me to be. I have no insurance and will have no income. So once I’m out of here the first thing I have to do is try and get on medicade or some such similar program. I don’t know about disability, I doubt they will qualify me. I have been told it is next to impossible. And even though I would only want temporary disability, you have to claim it for a year. I can’t imagine not working for a year, due to some bureaucracy snafu. Why not six months? Just enough time for my doctors to figure out what is going so wacky in my body. I’m vomiting about three times a day, I’m dizzy lots and my body just hurts. I can’t explain it, it feels like there is poison in my blood or something.
Anyway, I may be away from LJ for while after I’m done here this week. I’m hoping I will feel well enough a few hours a day to finally get my apartment the way I want it and get my ancient computer running.
