"DG, this isn't your fight!" called Glitch.
DG lowered the stick. There were a lot more of those men than there were of her, especially since it didn't look like Glitch would be any help. All she would do was make them even angrier than they were, and they'd probably treat their victims even worse. She sighed. That poor family. Wish I could've helped themGlitch suddenly brightened. Ah! Death all around! Well. At least the Papay were happy... until Az successfully brought darkness to the realm and everything died.
The choice DG made was perfectly logical... In fact, I'm sure I would have done the same. (Strange new world, no idea where you are. You don't know what's going on!) And yet, it really isn't her. The decision she made in the series to step in was totally a DG move. Which makes one wonder - how much of the plan worked and how many things worked out well simply because DG was DG?

Death all around!
Yikes! I just reread your prompts (I'm putting the fics on my website) and realized you specifically asked for no character death - I'm SO SORRY! And thanks for not being mad.

How much? - lots of it! Excellent observation. If she hadn't been so impetuous - I was thinking, well, she was like that as a child, too, but the Queen was really counting on adult DG having the same personality as little DG, wasn't she? No guarantees there - hm - unless maybe Hank & Em were programmed to foster that trait (Hank by encouraging her feisty ways, Em by giving her something to rebel against)?

Nah, it's alright. AU's sometimes go hand in hand with character death. It's non-AU character death I wanted to avoid this time around.
There was a lot the Queen was relying on to happen. Making a plan that depends upon the actions and decisions of others... that's such a risky thing. You can't guarantee that stuff! I've always equated this type of planning with Dumbledore. *shakes head*
