Yo f-list. I figured I should make a for real entry to make up for that last depressing one. STOP TAINTING MY LJ, SCANDALOUS ENTRY, I WANT NOTHING MORE TO DO WITH YOU. Otakon was totally fabulous besides that, guys, forsrs. I'm too lazy to do a con report right now though (or possibly ever) so instead all you're gonna get is a few pictures of me in my incredibly derpy Russia costume. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HAPPY HAPPY HOT-PINK-SCARF NO-RIBBON NO-PANTS RUSSIA OKAY. Thx to
zarephathcs and
altarii for taking these pics btw.
Why is it so very pinkI found a shinyIdk who this America was but we are clearly the best of pals who are not trying to kill each other And that's all the cosplay derpitude for y'all today, guys. I think I'll be doing a photoshoot sometime this week, so I may post pics that are slightly less
hurrrr then. (No offense to the fab photographers, the durr is all my costume's (and possibly my face's) fault. DAT SCARF.)
So yeah, aside from that, not much else is new. The PRODUCTIVITY CHALLENGE is still on, I swear. I swear to god it is, you guys. I just... am not sure that were I to be productive right now, what I produced would be of any merit. I'm a bit of a nervous wreck, you see; first year of college and all. I've got
the jibblies pretty bad. I mean, the other day I was so frazzled that I forgot where The Burger Joint was. And that's like, my favorite place. It was horrible. I am fully aware that it will all be fine, so feel no need to reassure me of this fact in the comments. I just need some freaking-out time is all. It's allowed.
Due to my concerns, the only thing I've really felt like doing lately is play video games. I mean, look at this list of games I'm currently playing:
Dissidia - I already kind of beat this, but I'm inching towards 100 percent completion. WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. It's totally possible gaiz. It'll just... take more than the 60 hours I've already played.
The World Ends With You - Another game that I've beaten that is equally impossible to 100% BUT WHICH I AM TRYING ANYWAY.
Myst - Did you know the PSP version of this is surprisingly good? For some reason I like it better than the PC version. No idea why.
Final Fantasy 4 - I played the SNES version, but the DS version is in fabulous 3D. THREEE DEEE GAIZZZ. So I gotta play through it again.
Final Fantasy 7 - I really need to finish this if I ever want any cred as a Square fan. Because there is a cred system in place.
Dragon Quest 4 - All I can say about this game so far is that the transcribed accents are fucking hilarious. FANTASY RUSSIA YAY.
Valkyrie Profile - Just fucking amazing. I got confused by it at some point and gave up though. Now I have to remember all the million little things that game requires remembering. WEWY's "complicated" gameplay really has nothing on this. Nintendo fans are spoiled.
Katamari Damacy -
NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NASuikoden Tierkreis - Why did I ever stop playing this game? This game rules. Even if the plot is phenomenally stupid.
There are dolphin people.Pokemon Platinum - I realize that due to a series of unfortunate restarts, I no longer have a DPPt team that's any good at all. THIS MUST BE REMEDIED.
Bioshock -
FILL YOUR CRAVINGS AT THE CIRCUS OF VALUES! HA HA HA! So I played this game for like five hours and it was awesome and I need to do it some more.
Mass Effect - I really loved this game but I rage quit when I realized I would really have preferred mowing down all the stupid brainwashed tree-possessed colonists instead of trying to save them with the grenade launcher. I guess I'll start back from an earlier save
So yeah. That's a lot. In a shocking display of morality for me, only 5 of these games are pirated. The rest I actually bought. With MONEY.
Speaking of money, did you know I'm at work? Yep. Ostensibly doing web design.
The site is, in fact, finished. It doesn't work in IE, but that's because IE is a buttface. No, I'm working to fix it (by which I mean waiting on tech support), but this is my last day. I plan on spending this day as I have spent my other days at work: dicking around on LJ. Yesterday my boss stopped me as I was reading my flist to tell me seriously how grateful he was for all the hard work I do. It was fabulously ironic. I love how little attention he pays to what I actually do. Apparently now he wants me to write a blog about my experiences here. Not sure what the hell to write about though. Any ideas, guys?
I'm feeling ambitious today, so maybe I actually will write it. I've got other opportunities to be productive too. I mean, I picked up a few books at the library book sale (Brideshead Revisited, a novel (I forget which) by Mishima, some insane book in French about America, some ridiculous pseudopsychology book about ghosts from the 50s, and Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Sex, which is a hilarious read). Also I have plenty of
pirated old ebooks (by dead people, don't worry). Also I had a great idea for a series of drabbles set in a prison AU. Also I have a bunch of kinkmeme prompts bookmarked. Also I have a math placement test to do. Also I should look at the course catalog. Also I told my sisters I'd make them wire sculptures. So yeah, productivity is imminent. Hopefully. Maybe.
