[something worth fighting for]
Unfortunately, my first (good) piece of art in a long time is fanart. Ah well, only so much you can do about it. It's been a while since I drew anything from Phantasy Star anyway, and it felt good just to do a really detailed piece without spending most of the time designing the characters.
I think I might be getting back into the swing of things with this. It has definitely made me want to draw more.
Haha, I really love Raven's eye. Raven is the guy in the flamboyant coat who is crouching. He looks so much like "Go away" that I just love it.
As much as I hate to admit it, this piece was actually not influenced so much by the obscure Japanese music I like (sure it was a little, how could I not include the feeling of Kaya's new single in my work?). If truth be told, I got Linkin Park's Breaking the Habit stuck in my head at work, and then couldn't get it out of my head as I worked on this. For like a whole week!
That's where the title for this one comes from.
As a little bonus, here is a new banner I made to use on forums:
And that one really is based entirely on Kaya's Pourriture Noble, and how I think of it in terms of my characters.
