03. How did you find out about the Percy Jackson series?
I saw the movie on a whim. I remembered reading The Iliad and The Odyssey when I was younger, and thought it would be a good idea to check out the books. It turned out to be an awesome idea.

04. What do you wish to accomplish in life?
I want to help people in what I do. Read a whole lot of books. Travel. Find that someone to love. Hopefully get closer to the meaning of life by the end of it all.
05. What type of magical object would you like to have?
Some type of defensive weapon, e.g. a shield like Aegis. Or something like Daedelus’ laptop.
06. What makes you like or dislike a person?
From experience, it is hard for me to really dislike a person. However, I tend to dislike an individual if he/she is insensitive to others, hypocritical and intolerant.
07. Are you a leader or a follower?
Really depends on the circumstances, e.g. how well I know the people I’m working with and the area I’m working in. If there’re better leaders present I would gladly step down. I’m not averse to leading if it is necessary.
08. What would you consider your fatal flaw?
There’s a fine line between being nice and appearing weak. Unfortunately, I often let other people walk over me to avoid conflict. I apologise way too much. My friends are forever frustrated at me for it.
09. What do you think are your top five best qualities?
01. Kindness and compassion

03. I enjoy academic and musical challenges and I love to theorize. I tend to spend a lot of time reading and studying.
04. I’m a good listener and counselor, especially in matters of emotion and diplomacy.
05. I’m flexible; I easily adapt to people and situations.
10. What do you think are your top five worst qualities?
01. I’m terrible at time management, and tend to spend way too much time on whatever I’m fascinated with. I get sidetracked when researching.
02. Sometimes, I tend to act like a doormat. As stated above.
03. It’s easy for me to be withdrawn. I prefer solitude or the company of very close friends, to large gatherings. I detest small talk and gossip, which makes me weary of their necessity in social situations at times.
04. I daydream a lot. Sometimes I’m prone to let my mind wonder with darker thoughts.
05. I’m often too critical of myself.

11. Who is your favorite character in the Percy Jackson series?
Percy. I respect him very much for his ethos, his bravery, his loyalty and his open heart. I also love his sense of humour. I also love Annabeth. She balances out Percy, and is absolutely kick-ass on her own. I’m in awe of her a lot of the time, but her emotional turmoil makes her an endearing and believable character with depth. Calypso is also a favourite. I felt compelled to dig into her character, and felt that I identified with her in a lot of ways. Alright, I admit, it’s extremely difficult to just pick one. But there you go.
12. Who is your least favorite character in the Percy Jackson series?
Gabe. There can be no excuses for what he was like, but I recognize he played his role in the plot. And also Nemesis. I hate what she did to Ethan. And without an adequate history to back her up, it’s easy to dislike her based on that one thing.
13. If you could spend a day with one of the Percy Jackson characters, who would you choose and why?
Nico. Just for the chance to give him a huge comforting hug (no ulterior motives I swear), though he would most likely be averse to that. There’s just so much misfortune and misery surrounding him. And it would be great to discuss his views on death; I’m very curious.
14. What is something you would change about the series?
Having Thalia and Hermes there at the end to say goodbye to Luke. I felt like they didn’t get enough closure.
15. What is something you would never change about the series?
The characterization, narrative style and plot, the dynamic between Percy and Annabeth. Basically everything else besides the point stated above, really.
16. Which god do you feel the least likeness towards?
Ares. I have no experience of violence and bloodlust, nor do I want to.
