03. How did you find out about the Percy Jackson series? It’s kind of fuzzy how I discovered the Percy Jackson series but I have these two Korean friends that were talking about it once and it was rather popular on FanFiction.net even a few years ago so I’d heard of it here and there. But it was in the middle of eighth grade that I actually picked up the first two books for some light reading, and then the last three for over Christmas break. By the time school started up again, I’d fallen in love.

04. What do you wish to accomplish in life? The biggest thing I hope I accomplish in life is to do a bit of good in the world that would help it become better. Whether it’s saving lives, being an educator, joining UNICEF and helping children around the world, I want to do something to make the world a bit better than it is today. A family and wonderful friends would also be an awesome bonus that I’d like to achieve in life.
05. What type of magical object would you like to have? I usually have my keys with me 24/7 so if my house-keys could turn into a sword or my set of keychains can magically transform into a bow and arrow or a spear or some kind of weapon, then that would be spankin’.
06. What makes you like or dislike a person? I usually end up liking or disliking people depending on how they talk to and treat others. Based on the people I don’t like, I end up disliking them if they’re selfish and/or not trying hard and based on the people I do like and appreciate, I end up liking them because they’re compassionate, hard-working, tough and strong.
07. Are you a leader or a follower? I’d like to think I’m a leader but I can also be a follower when the time is right. Usually though, I’m a leader. (Eheh, I’m actually president of my grade this year, if that counts.)
08. What would you consider your fatal flaw? I’m stubborn and I have too much pride. Way too much pride. So sometimes I say things out of line or I think I’m always right during arguments or I refuse to apologise or I refuse to respect the person I have issues with.
09. What do you think are your top five best qualities?
01. Hardworking - I might not be great at everything but when something is given to me, a task, a project, homework, or anything that needs to be done, I won’t just do it, I’ll do my best to finish it because that’s the only way I believe things should be done. To the best possible product.
02. Sarcastic - With me, life and conversation is never too boring. (But yes, it gets a bit boring sometimes.) Whether it’s with close friends, parents, siblings, or classmates that need to be put into their place, sarcasm is my weapon of choice and I’m quite good at using it to my advantage.
03. Persistent - In relation to my ‘hardworking’ quality, I’m always persistent in the tasks that are handed to me. I won’t just try and do it, I won’t rest ‘til I finish the thing.
06. Kind - My classmates are scared of me. One guy confided in one of my friends and told him, “I think Kari hates me.” He’s terrified of me. But what a lot of people don’t know is that I’m actually very kind, I rarely say nasty things to people (only if they really need to hear it!) and I’ve always got my friends’ back. Like only a true Gryffindor would.
05. Observant/vigilant - Vigilant would be a better word because I’m also very good at spotting if someone’s distressed and hiding it, if they’re about to get really pissed off and throw a tantrum, or if they need someone to talk to. Basically, I spot distress (or danger) and go handle it if I can.
10. What do you think are your top five worst qualities?
01. Easily distracted - My laptop is my best friend and my worst enemy. Twitter is the website I never should have found but am glad I discovered ‘cause now I’m in love. I am so easily distracted because of the Internet and because of my room (for no reason, my room is not interesting at all) that I usually get all of my work done late at night. It’s so frustrating.
02. Sarcastic - Sometimes sarcasm keeps the mood light and happy and funny and all that but sometimes you can go overboard and your more sensitive friends get insulted and hurt. And I’ve come to learn that most of my friends are sensitive. In fact, the whole world is probably more sensitive than they’re letting on.
03. Moody - Maybe it’s ‘cause I’m a girl. But it really pisses off the people around me sometimes and after I’m through with a mood, I’m also pissed off at myself.
04. Proud - Consider it my fatal flaw. I’m overconfident and too proud sometimes. For more info, see question #8.

Misanthropic - I’ve possibly watched too many movies, read too many fanfics and books and written too many [failed] stories but when I’m misanthropic, no one knows how to deal with me and my world is a dark and scary place that doesn’t allow me to interact with anything or anyone. Oh, and it lets the whole school know that I don’t have time for their BS. (Excuse the cussing acronyms.)

11. Who is your favorite character in the Percy Jackson series? Percy Jackson is defo my favorite Percy Jackson character because he went through struggles and he really did go through some rather tough times but he did it with his head in the air (metaphorically) and he never stopped fighting because he was true to himself and to the people he loved. He’s not perfect, he’s not exactly smart, but he’s the kind of role model I want for myself. Plus, he’s hilarious as hell.
12. Who is your least favorite character in the Percy Jackson series? Gabe Ugliano? Piper? Jason? Ares? Rachel Dare? Hera? It’d have to be either Rachel or Hera but I think my least favorite character would be Hera because she was just a bee eye tee see H, if you know what I mean.
13. If you could spend a day with one of the Percy Jackson characters, who would you choose and why? Luke Castellan, hands down. (I can’t just keep saying Percy Jackson, can I?) The kid was a BAMF and when he wasn’t serving Kronos, he was a pretty cool guy. I get why Annabeth had the hots for him.
14. What is something you would change about the series? [I would’ve made them longer.] I probably wouldn’t have sent Percy to Calypso’s island because that entire ordeal just bugged me, personally.
15. What is something you would never change about the series? As far as I know, Master Riordan did the right thing when he kept Percy’s first-person narrations. And he should have kept them for the new series!

16. Pick a fictional character from any book/movie/tv show/etc. Which cabin would you place them in and more importantly why? I’ve been really into Kim Possible right now so I’ll choose RON STOPPABLE. …After much thought (no really, much thought) I’ve put Ron into Dionysus’ cabin because he’s a crazy madman who likes to eat and drink. Dionysus is the God of Madness and Wine and I’ll be damned if Ron isn’t mad (or if he doesn’t like wine). Dionysus was also supposed to ‘shake things up’ when they got dull and Ron does that. He doesn’t have to be like Mr. D, in fact, he isn’t anything like the guy. He just matches the description. [Although, if I may, Ron also holds some qualities that would make him a child of Hestia; hearth and home.]
17. Which god do you feel the least likeness towards? I thought it’d be Ares but I really don’t like Hera.
