03. How did you find out about the Percy Jackson series? My girlfriend lent me the books.

04. What do you wish to accomplish in life? I want to be the best in field. Unfortunately, my field happens to be "studying comic books". Because comics look cool, dammit. (Proving my mother wrong that comics were a waste of my time.)
05. What type of magical object would you like to have? Could have a magical object that counteracts my mutant ability to destroy electronics when I'm near them? Because seriously, electronics. They break around me.
06. What makes you like or dislike a person? Honestly? It's mostly gut instinct. My first impressions are usually correct, but sometimes I get blinded by what I think is awesome but turns out to be douchebaggery. That's rare, though.
07. Are you a leader or a follower? Follower. I just asked my girlfriend the answer to that question.
08. What would you consider your fatal flaw? Hubris. I'm constantly overestimating my ability to do shit. Usually in earnest because I want to get it done, and think I can honestly get it done, and then I bite off about ten times more than I can actually chew and I end up having panic attacks and flailing all over the place. WOE IS ME, HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN.

01. my pants are falling off I try really hard to be fair
02. I value analytical thinking
03. I don't hesitate to laugh at myself when I do stupid things
04. I throw myself completely into things I'm passionate about

01. I throw myself wholeheartedly into things I am passionate about
02. I have a lot of empathy... and sometimes I get carried away by it.

11. Who is your favorite character in the Percy Jackson series? LUKE (I am your fa-- wait, no.) Because he's a sly devious little bastard. I love the "redemptive douchebag" archetype.
12. Who is your least favorite character in the Percy Jackson series? Chiron, but it's a really hard choice. I kind of like everyone. Each character plays their role really well. The reason I dislike Chiron is that it always feels like he's holding back information from the kids, even though I know that's his role. "Wise Old Man As Disseminator of Knowledge" is just a character type I'm bored with.
13. If you could spend a day with one of the Percy Jackson characters, who would you choose and why? Clarisse, because it would be fun watching her own my friends at Halo. (Actually, she'd probably beat me up.) Failing her, I'd probably go with Rachel because she seems like she'd be fun to hang out with-- we could go shopping and have tea.
14. What is something you would change about the series? SO EFFING PREDICTABLE, OMG.
15. What is something you would never change about the series? Rick Riordan's GIGANTIC HARD-ON for prophetic dreams. I don't know how anything would ever get done and character would figure out how they were under threat if it weren't for their ~dreams~.

Raphael is totally Ares, because he's got a big ol' chip on his shoulder, something to prove and a hot temper he doesn't know what to do with. And you can totally bet he'd totally steal the tinker's girlfriend. (Or the tinker's girlfriend's boyfriend. You know, whichever. NOTE: This is especially true of 80's-era Mirage comics. Seriously. Lock up your daughters. And your wives. and your sons. And your foxes. IDEK.)
Michelangelo clearly belongs in Apollo's cabin, because he is artistic and plucky and likes to regale everyone with his "witticisms".
Donatello-- "When all else fails, hit it with a hammer." Hephaestus cabin.
Leonardo is a serious, stern leader doing serious, stern leaderly things that are totally weighing him down. Oh yeah, he's going in Zeus cabin. Duty, honor, etc and so forth. (He's almost as bad as Jason.)

Self-Fulfillment and Freedom are basically the same thing to me
Power and Glory are tied at second because of my lust for academic recognition and my desire to leverage the recognition to teach others.
Security and Wealth are tied because I want to be an academic-- and we're underpaid. My mind would be so much more at ease if I was certain I'd be able to pay the bills.
Beauty at the end (amusing, considering my degrees are in Art History)
17. Which god do you feel the least likeness towards? Hephaestus. I respect his work, but I break things. And then I cry.
