Hey Oracle! How have you been, bb?

01. Name Emmy
02. LJ Username dreamyzingg
03. How did you find out about the Percy Jackson series? Long story, so I'll streamline. My sister gave me The Lightning Thief to read back in summer '05. I liked it, but stopped reading it because I was on vacation, and was too busy to keep reading. Then, three years later I saw the Sea of Monsters at a school book fair, and bought it. I loved it, and have been a fan ever since.

04. What do you wish to accomplish in life?  I'd love to be an author and write many books. I'm also interested in screenwriting. Another thing I'd love to do is travel all around the world, and live in a different country when I'm older.
05. What type of magical object would you like to have? I really would like to have Annabeth's Yankees cap. I'd like to walk around without letting anyone knowing where I went.
06. What makes you like or dislike a person? I dislike how people can be very shallow and self-serving. It's not a quality I would want in a friend. What makes me like a person is if they like me for me, and don't care about my flaws. I like people who will always be loyal to me.
07. Are you a leader or a follower? Follower. I tend to do what people tell me and not do my own thing.
08. What would you consider your fatal flaw? My bad temper. :\
09. What do you think are your top five best qualities?
01. Memory. I can remember things that everyone else seems to forget. I can also remember facts really easily.
02. Easy-going. I don't need big, extravagant things to make me happy. I also just go with the flow.
03. Open-minded. I listen to/understand both sides of an argument, listen to different types of music, watch different movies, like different kinds of foods...you get my drift.
04. Humor. I spew out jokes here and there and a lot of people end up laughing. I also find a lot of things funny, and can laugh for ten minutes straight.
05. Organized. Orderly lifestyle=less stress.

10. What do you think are your top five worst qualities?
01. Temper. I easily get angry.
02. Bug-phobia. Even if it's a gnat, I cringe a little. I am so scared of them it's ridiculous.
03. Shy. Unless one of my friends/family members is around, it's hard to strike up a conversation with someone because I usually don't know what to say, and I end up coming off as really awkward/weird.
04. Self-confidence. I can get really down and think that I can't do the things I want to do. I'm also short, so everyone thinks I'm younger than I actually am. It bothers me.
05. Obsessive. If there's a book I like, I get really into it and find out some more information on it and check out the fansites. Hence why I'm here. But that can be bad because you end up only caring about that thing for periods of time and forget to be yourself once in a while.

the series
11. Who is your favorite character in the Percy Jackson series? Rachel. I like her personality a lot, she's brave, and I liked how involved she was in TLO. She seems like someone to look up too.
12. Who is your least favorite character in the Percy Jackson series? Hmm...I'd say either Ethan Nakamura or Bianca di Angelo. Ethan because he went with Kronos for all the wrong reasons, and kind of knew they were despicable anyway. And I thought it was not intelligent of him to run off into the Labyrinth alone, because he could've been killed. I dislike Bianca because she just left her brother alone. Even though she'd been caring for him all his life and needed a break, that was just selfish of her.
13. If you could spend a day with one of the Percy Jackson characters, who would you choose and why? Rachel. I'd like to talk with her about her favorite bands, since she's described as having "no two songs sounding the same" on her iPod, and try to get some tips on art, since I can't draw at all. I'd spend a day with her in Manhattan and just chill.
14. What is something you would change about the series? Probably having Thalia more involved in the series, and a real tie-up with the whole Thalia/Luke thing. That was never really cleared up, and I also kind of wish Thalia had been there when Luke died. I also would've liked to see more Thalia in TLO. I really liked having her around with the rest of the gang in TTC, and then she wasn't there as much in TLO. I like her a lot, so it was kind of disappointing for me.
15. What is something you would never change about the series? Something I would never change about the series is Percy's narration. He has a clear voice, a voice you wouldn't confuse with another narrator in another book. Also because his narration is hilarious.

etc
16. Pick a fictional character from any book/movie/tv show/etc. Which cabin would you place them in and more importantly why? Coraline Jones from Coraline. I'd place her in Athena's cabin because she's very smart and cunning for her young age. When she has to save her parents and the three ghost children's eyes/souls, she did it in a way I would never think of. She's very courageous, and after her experience with the Other Mother, became more mature and intelligent.
16. Sort these words in order of appeal to you: beauty - glory - security - power - wealth - self-fulfillment - freedom. Explain your answer. Freedom, to do what I want and not let anyone stop me; self-fulfillment. After getting freedom, I want to finish/do what I set out to accomplish; power. After doing what I wanted to do, do more and become more influential; wealth. So I can get the things I wanted but never had, and also to provide for my loved ones; beauty. After wealth, I'd want to make myself look well-put together, and also feel beautiful on the inside; glory, so after everything that happened, people will know who I am and respect me, and once I get glory, I can use it to help others in any way I can.
17. Which god do you feel the least likeness towards? For some reason, I don't like Apollo. He seems nice and easy-going and everything, but at times, it just seems fake.
