So I had this nagging feeling in the back of my mind, and sure enough, I double-checked and saw that I missed reviewing this before. I've been having issues like you wouldn't believe. Anyway...sorry about that. On to fic!

I really love the ten minute countdown intervals. It's very appropriate to their frame of mind and only continues the sense of foreboding. The way they just sit in silence is absolutely beautiful. The exchange with Nick...I really like that he redeemed himself and that he even acknowledges that he should have seen this coming. "Yeah, we're cool. I won't get my guitar." The first sign you act like a prick or look at my girl funny, that changes Curly. So freaking hilarious! But Demi's willing to forgive for Selena, and that's huge. I love that Demi can see somewhat in her mother's eyes that this isn't gonna be such a shock...that they're not so oblivious after all. Demi trying to help Selena explain and then Selena's the one that finally lays it all out on the line is so adorably sad. I love how their parents echo the exact same thing that Nick told them less than an hour earlier.

I think my favorite thing about this chapter is Demi's mother's reaction when Demi finally falls apart: "I'm not saying we're all used to it. I'm not saying we wanted this to happen. But we love you both. We always will." That was just...I almost cried! I think that was the best possible reaction given their families' religious backgrounds. Completely honest that this isn't what they would have chosen, but that they're loved no matter what. I agree with loveistragical, it's very likely that their parents will eventually react that way. For their sakes, I really hope so. But the ending, with Madison and Dallas...classic! Twenty dollars and a churro? Little girl knows how to swindle a deal!

As much as I'd like to see this continue, I think you wrote this chapter well enough that it stands as a great concluding chapter, if that's what you choose. This was not a sucky chapter, it was a great one. Keep up the good work, either on this story or something else. We're always eager to read. =D
