Mostly because I fear a riot may break out because of my wonderful cliffy lmao. Anyway, I will let you know answers will finally be revealed shortly. Patience is a virtue, my friends. Enjoy. Alex's thoughts are in italics and this fic is really her POV.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Alex Russo or Sonny Munroe.

The seeds were planted in the depths of her mind, worry sprouting and growing as the days wore on, the lack of twinkling eyes feeding its belly. The seeds grew every second, transforming themselves into a small tree in a matter of hours. As days wore on, a small forest grew, trees and foliage cluttering her mind, vines twisting and turning around her heart as her soul began to darken. Troublesome thoughts floated in her mind, the worry taking a strong hold on her entire being. She fell victim to poisonous dreams, succumbing to fitful moments of rest until her heart seized once more, begging for clarity as the tortuous days closed tightly in on her. Day 6.

She never thought to ask for Sonny's number.

Slumped over in her seat, Alex starred at the blank page in front of her, her fingers tracing the edge of her desk, the cool metallic finding a similar partner in Alex's cold skin. She stared as her pen bled into the paper, spreading its dark ink slowly and quietly, darkening the tiny blank spot on her looseleaf. Eyes darting away, Alex broke off another piece of her muffin, the only substance her stomach has seen in days.

Raspberry muffins. Alex could see why Sonny loved them so. Though probably for different reasons.

Six days. Not even a whisper.

She chewed slowly, heavy lidded eyes straying over to her page again, ignoring the scrutiny she felt upon her every so often. The rumor mill was in overdrive, people going as far as to say Sonny was sent to a detention center or the most popular, an asylum.

Funny how no one talks about her when she's actually in the school...

Slumping further in her seat, her tired and sad eyes found its rightful place next to her: Sonny's seat. Another dose of sadness pooled within her, the sight of a bored and challenging Sonny Monroe missing. Irritation began to stir within her as the girls at the front of the room started gossiping once again about Sonny Monroe's whereabouts.

"Hey Russo, you-"

"Shut it and go find another Barbie to model yourself after, Rubbermaid," Alex shot lowly, her voice filled with venom. "Unless you want me to find one for you. I'll gladly shove it up your ass."

Eyes wide and mouth agape, Courtney and her cronies stared in shock, disbelief growing by the second, Seeing Courtney and her counterpart still unable to speak, Amanda decided to save her best friend's dignity. "You don't have to shove a Barbie up her ass. Courtney can do that by herself!" Head shooting over to Amanda, Courtney sent an icy glare her way, her voice filled with anger. "Shut. Up." Facing front, she ignored the pair and their apologetic please, quickly forgetting about the Russo girl.

Alex again couldn't help but roll her eyes, her mouth fixed in a permanent frown at this point. Tracing the arm that was lucky enough to get a brief encounter with Sonny's dancing fingers, Alex took in a shuddering breath, forcing back the tears that threatened to erupt. Stop it. You don't act like a wuss. You're Alex Russo. You don't let anyone fuck with you. Her eyes wandered over again to the empty seat.

Six days.

Dragging herself to the empty room, Alex stared blankly, the emptiness overpowering. Slowly walking over to her desk, she dropped her bag on the floor, a bag full of raspberry muffins in hand. Alex smiled lightly.

These muffins were better than the ones in the cafeteria...

Her smile dampened before disappearing completely, eyes wandering away as she pulled out the baked good. Nibbling on it, Alex made her way to her resting place. Slowly lowering herself down, Alex took another careful bite before placing it on the nightstand next to her. Kicking off her polished black boots, Alex stretched, her back arching as she let her head fall backwards, eyes firmly shut as she took in a deep breath. Murmuring a quick spell, Alex settled into the warm bed as her boots clanged against the wall, setting themselves neatly there. She pressed her face against the plush pillow. Breathing deeply, Alex clenched her eyes shut as the light smell of raspberries filled her senses.

What am I doing? What has she done to me?

Turning over, Alex stared at the ceiling, her eyes dull to the core. The room was empty, yet everywhere she turned she was faced with another trace of her. Her eyes bore into the white ceiling, her breath hitching slightly as her mind played tricks with her once again, almost convincing her that she was right there. She was right next to her.

She made me fall in love with her.

"Damn it," she whispered, eyes clenched shut as a tear trailed down her cheek. Swallowing harshly, Alex wiped furiously at the forbidden tear, eyes still shut as she did so. Taking in a harsh breath, she steeled herself, pulling herself together before she fell apart once again. She sniffled as she pushed away haunting thoughts before shutting the lights off, finally letting darkness drown her once again.

Images passed before her eyes, dark orbs constantly present and haunting. She tossed and turned, almost willing to do anything to get a good night's rest. Her movements slowed as images of a small bench and a beautiful snow covered garden filled her mind, finally finding peace in dark twinkling eyes.

The sound of a creaking door startled her, quickly bringing her back to the the darkened room instead of the garden where she had finally found a moment of peace. She took in a quick breath, ears alert and body completely still as she heard the door close quietly, the sound of the lock turning echoing in the room.

She didn't dare move as she heard footfalls slowly but steadily move further into the room.

She didn't move when a sudden thump resounded, followed by the sound of scratching as the wooden arm chair was moved slightly.

She didn't move when the footfalls stopped for a few moments, the intruder hesitant before resuming a steady pace. Keys clanged as they fell on the table, another heavy thud resounding in the deadly quiet room as a heavier object fell next to it. More clamoring went on, shoes kicked off as clothes rustled.

She didn't move as she felt the bed lightly give away, her body tense as she felt the other body slowly settle in. Her breathing quickened as the body moved closer, hot breath caressing her cold neck, lips pressing against it, causing Alex's eyes to flutter shut. A relieved and tired sigh escaped her lips as an arm encircled her waist, pulling her closer.

"You're in my bed," a tired voice rasped out, her voice finally breaking the silence.

"You still smell like raspberries."

Silence fell over the pair, words demanding to escape her lips, questions, cries, yells. Her mouth remained clamped, eyes fluttering open before closing once again, relief being the only dominating feeling left in her body.

"I have problems." She tilted her head, still not looking at the girl who captured her heart. "I thought...I thought I was strong enough now...that I would be okay now..."

Alex closed her hand over Sonny's, her fingers intertwining with ring adorned ones. Her thumb brushed against the other girl's palm, eyes staring into the darkness before her thoughfully.

"I'm not allowed to think that....I'm supposed to be okay now."

Not able to look away anymore, Alex quickly let go. Finally turning around, Alex gasped as Sonny's face filled her sight. She took in the downcast face as she gazed into sad eyes, her face not even close to it's normally stoic composure. Sadness flowed from Sonny Monroe, eyes staring back at Alex Russo, not able to speak for a moment. Taking her hand once again, Alex didn't dare look away, dark orbs taking and trapping her in place.

She looked even more beautiful than the last time she saw her.

"That's what they told me..."

"I don't understand...?" Alex trailed off, eyes confused as they darted over Sonny's face. She watched as eyes began to twinkle, the corner's of Sonny's lips quirking slightly in a sad smile as the dark haired girl leaned closer, pressing her lips lightly against Alex's forehead.

"You will. Soon. I just...I just need some sleep. I haven't slept in...I just need some sleep. We both do, Princess."

The words weren't spoken, words of how long they were apart. Words of how torturous emotions were common.

Words aren't always necessary.

Nodding her head slowly, Alex moved closer, the tip of her nose touching Sonny's as she sighed softly once again, tired eyes drifting shut. Lips caressed her cold cheek, brushing against it ever so softly as a tired sigh of her own escaped. Letting out a shuddering breath, Alex finally succumbed, letting herself drown in the tumultuous storm that finally dissipated. Only this time it was different.

They drowned together. Peacefully.
