"Pets?"

"Nope."

"Pet peeves?"

"People who are irritating."

"Obsessions?"

"Not really."

Quickly sitting up with her forearms supporting her, Alex shot a look at the girl lying nonchalantly next to her. The random questioning had become routine for them now, spurring sporadically throughout the day when they laid side by side on the Sonny's bed staring at the ceiling, hands brushing and holding each other for the slightest moments. Now Alex stared at the girl in disbelief, an unconvinced scoff escaping her lips. "Seriously? Not even one obsession?"

Tilting her head upward to look at Alex properly, Sonny frowned slightly as her eyes narrowed, staying frozen on the other girl's face before slowly turning away. "I just answered that." A burst of laughter rang out in the room, startling Sonny from her state of nonchalance of moment. Eyes narrowing again, she turned to Alex, near redfaced from the state she was in. She flopped back down on the bed again as her hair tickled Sonny's cheek, her laughter growing at the bemused look on Sonny's face. Seeing the display was no where near to ending, Sonny stared grimly at the tomato color that had claimed residence on Alex's face, eyes narrowed into slits as she spoke. "You might want to breath, Princess."

Wiping the few tears that had falling during the laugh attack, Alex willed herself to calm down, sighing inaudibly while Sonny brushed away the few stray strands of hair away from her cheek. Looking back at her, Alex stared at the girl, humor dancing in her eyes as she gave an unconvinced smile. "That is not true at all."

"What's not true?"

"You not having an obsession."

Raising an eyebrow slightly, Sonny regarded Alex with a cool stare, bringing her hand away from her cheek. "I don't."

Chuckling slightly, Alex responded, disagreement flowing through her words. "Yes, you do."

"No. I don't."

Not even settling back into the bed for a second, Alex sat up, rolling her eyes as she swatted away the wandering fingers that were on her stomach. Raising her eyebrows, Sonny let her eyes rake over Alex's form up and down, slowly studying the girl like she always did, eyes piercing into Alex's stubborn ones. "Yes?"

"Raspberries."

Sighing, Sonny finally sat up, her back pressed against the headboard as draped her arm over it while gazing boredly at Alex with raised eyebrows. "What are you going on about this time?"

"You eat raspberry muffins."

Staring at her blankly, Sonny stayed silent, letting her eyes motion for Alex to go on or let go of the topic.

"You eat them all the time!" Alex nearly cried out in frustration, her stance stubborn. No way in hell am i giving her this one!

"Is that all you have to support your raspberry obsession theory?"

"What?!"

"Cuz just so you know, Princess, that's not really a supporting argument-"

"You taste like raspberries!"

Eyes never breaking from Alex's stubborn posture, Sonny fingered the jewelry spread over her right arm absentmindedly, her lips quirking slightly into a small smirk. "I taste like raspberries?"

Letting out a noise of frustration, Alex flopped back down on the bed, her eyes closing shut in an effort to calm herself down. She finally spit out an answer, her voice emphatic and full of frustration as she spoke. "Yes. You do. You eat raspberry muffins. You use raspberry flavored lipgloss. You always taste like raspberries. When it's not black, you always wear red-"

"What does wearing red have-"

"You would jump at the chance for raspberry yogurt," Alex continued on, never missing a beat as her eyes remained clench and her voice raised in volume. "You probably have a raspberry scented pen-"

"Do you even know what you're saying-"

"You probably have ten raspberry scented pens!"Alex spoke, her voice loud and irritated as she began to spit out the words, true irritation boiling over. "You probably have raspberry scented flavoring. You might even have raspberry dye! You definitely smell like raspberries today! Maybe you have it stocked up or somethin-OOMF!"

With the weight of another body on her, Alex moaned as Sonny licked the skin of her neck, her eyes opening in surprise at the feel before quickly fluttering shut. Fingers clenching the sheet underneath her, Alex whimpered as Sonny's teeth slowly bit down before her tongue sneaked out to soothe the bruised skin, lips gently pressing against the area afterwards. Pulling away, Sonny moved off of Alex's body to the side, propping herself up on her elbows as she stared at Alex with twinkling eyes. "You taste like strawberries. Are you obsessed with them?"

Slowly getting her breathing back to control, Alex gingerly opened one eyes. Alex bit her lower lip, voice nearly inaudible as a dazed voice rang out. "If I say yes, will you do that again?"

Giving her a blank stare, Sonny slowly answered, her raspy voice bringing Alex out of her near catatonic state. "Any particular reason you're asking that question, Princess? Silence filled the room as both of Alex's eyes shot open, both girls staring at each other, a specific Latina staring in mostly stupefied shock. Clearing her throat, Alex let her eyes dart away.

"Favorite Power Ranger?"

Eyes twinkling, Sonny settled back down while her uniform shirt rose slightly, her body laying next to Alex again as her hand moved so that her thumb could circle Alex's wrist slowly. "Pink."

Eyes shooting to her, Alex stared in shock. "Seriously?"

"Would I say it if I wasn't?"

Staring at her in silence for a moment, Alex couldn't speak, mouth opening and closing for a couple of moments before she quickly turned away. Good Point. "Family?"

"Cruel," came the quiet reply, her voice emotionless as eyes stared at the ceiling stonily. Silence fell over the pair as Alex looked over at Sonny again, surprise evident on her face. Seeing the cold blankness in Sonny's eyes, Alex couldn't help but push her curiosity aside, her hand lightly wrapping around Sonny's.

"You're lucky," she rasped out, eyes fixed on the white ceiling above her. "Your family...your family's ideal." Scoffing, Alex looked away, the thought of her parents and her older brother stemming anger with in her.

"They sent me away."

"Yeah, remind me to send them rotten cheese or something for that. Sending me spoiled royalty definitely wasn't the present I was looking for."

Shocked, Alex sat up, immediately going on the defensive. "Hey! What the-" Abruptly stopping, Alex caught the small twinkle in dark eyes. The defensive speech ready to be spewed dissipated, a small smirk finding its way onto Alex's lips. "You know you like me."

Sighing, Sonny tilted her head towards Alex before looking away, eyes twinkling even brighter. "I tolerate you."

Smiling at the tightened hold on her hand and the brushing thumb against the inside of her wrist, Alex settled back down, this time flush against Sonny's form on her side. Catching Sonny's loose tie, Alex fingered the stitching, the dark red material drawing her eyes attention.

"Your brother...he's a fuckup...setting you up like that. Throwing a party in the substation and your place and then pinning it on you...doesn't earn points for him."

Her movements stilling, Alex stopped breathing for a moment, eyes widening slightly before she spoke. "Yeah...he's a turd." Hearing the murmur of agreement, Alex took in a deep breath, eyes widening again for a moment before they shut for a moment, her actions once again resuming a moment after.

"And your parents not believing you-"

"Yeah, it sucks."

"Though sending you away...that was harsh."

Slumping into her, Alex ducked her head, silent as she nestled further against Sonny. Eyes downcast, she pressed her face against the crook of Sonny's neck.

Looking down at Alex, Sonny hesitantly pulled the downcast girl closer, holding her as she continued to stare, not knowing what to do after the sudden change in emotions. "What happened...it sucks," Sonny continued, fingers slowly delving into dark hair, gently playing with the soft locks absentmindedly. "They should have listened to you. But they did it cuz they had to, I guess. Maybe they were scared things would become worse and more dangerous if they didn't act. Doesn't mean they don't care. The letters they keep sending you...the ones you keep piling there in the corner...it means they care. The phone calls...the phone calls you barely answer...they love you-"

Not wanting to listen anymore, Alex pulled away, turning on her back to stare at the ceiling. Still playing with her hair, Sonny let out a soft sigh as she stared at Alex before looking down. "I wouldn't have met you if they hadn't sent you away."

Hearing these words, Alex slowly turned to stare at the girl in shock, disbelief on her face at the spoken admission. Sonny, still looking away, didn't pay Alex's stare any mind.

"Your family...they don't just brush you aside and forget you. There are a lot of people... a lot of people that do. Your family cares. That's what counts in the end, I guess."

Her lips parting, Alex stared at the side of Sonny's face. Eyes fluttering shut for a moment, Alex sighed before she moved closer to Sonny. "It still hurts though."

Holding her close to her again, Sonny pressed her face against the top of Alex's head. "I know...but they'll make up for it."

Eyes narrowing in confusion, Alex picked her head up, looking at Sonny. "How?"

"By buying you a dictionary and a thesaurus. It's pretty obvious you seriously need them."

Not able to hold back the huge smile, Alex settled back down, her words brushing against the skin of Sonny's neck. "Shut up."

"Whatever you say, Princess."

Lying down together, they both listened to the other's soft breathing. The pair stared at their hands, playing with each other before finally knotting through each other, small smiles gracing their lips at the sight.

"...Favorite flavor?"

Her smile growing slightly, Sonny quietly rasped out, eyes drifting shut. "It's strawberry now."
