Two years ago on Christmas eve, I was in Waffle House. Having a Coffee and Cigarrettes marathon. It was my first WaHo smoke out, and when I returned home to do it again, the laws had changed. The New York plague of no smoking in doors had caught on. Oh well, at least you guys still have the bars.
Last year on Christmas eve, I was in Switzerland. I flew back on Christmas and met Garth that evening.
Yesterday, I went to ChinaTown after work. Bought some last minute things for Brian and played a good solid DDR marathon. I also played some Para Para Paradise, and started to be able to play on the "Hard" difficulty.
Today, Christmas, I worked. It was an interesting experience though, because I was wearing a Santa Suit. I was in the Holiday Spirit, I suppose, and the store was very slow. So it was just me and Kelly, my assisstant manager, closing the store. It took us two hours after close to leave, but I had a nice spiritual conversation with her.
Since Allison, Brian and I aren't really Christian, but enjoy the tradition of Christmas, we decided to self-indulgently move our Christmas to the 28th. Three years ago on the 28th of December, I met Allison and Brian.
The MTA strike was anti-climactic, neither side benefitted at all. And the city did not fall into absolute chaos like I was hoping. What a spectacle that would have been!
Mild irritance, but it didn't last long. Fuckers.
