If anyone noticed, the digits of the date also add up to 13 (10/13/2006)...spooky o_O

How was everybody's day? Unlucky?

Well, honestly, I had forgotten it was Friday the 13th till I got home and it was already the 14th, but my day was rather unlucky.

Quick rundown:
I have a crown on a front tooth (top) from when I was 10 or 11. Fell down a slide, sliced it in half diagonally. Not fun. Got a root canal and a crown put in later (after the "cap" where they shoved two blue pins up the live nerve - so yes, I had "blue tooth" before everyone else, heh).

This week, somehow, despite having had everything done right, good hygiene, whatever, it got infected. Normally, with a tooth abscess, you get a root canal. Well, since I'd already had one, that makes the problem much worse. This I learned at my emergency dentist appointment this Friday afternoon.

What does this mean? Well, the infection must be deeper in order to infect anything (so where they cut off the root). Remedy: "cleansing" as the dentist put it. Sounds painful. Mentioned this. She gave me a look and said it would definitely not be fun. "Gum surgery" was another term she gave me. This is supposed to happen Tuesday.

Worst case: I lose the tooth = implant = extremely expensive (never covered by insurance).
Best case: I go back to the way I was last week. Only my dad's out of a couple grand probably. Oh yeah, and I ace both midterms that are that next day despite the pain/meds and stress of it all. Yeah. That'd be just dreamy.

Just about the best timing possible. Just like my finger (surgery for that was finals week - had to push all my finals up for that too). Am I this accident prone for life? Is this a new trend or just a low point? Because I'm tired of it. Tired of the pain, the tears, the stress. Tired.
