"This is the former LA active?" she asks and Dr. Burke nods.

"We could recover the scan, but this isn't priority at the moment. We're lucky to have a pregnant active on our hands for the first time."

She turns to the doctor and smiles. "I can't wait to start working with her. Thanks. You can leave now." Taking a few steps towards the bed, she can still feel Dr. Burke's presence behind her, unnerving her. "You can leave now." The words come out quicker this time, her voice a notch higher, and the doctor shrugs and leaves.

When the door falls closed, she walks closer and leans over the unconscious woman, reaching out to brush a strand of hair back from her face with her right hand. The woman is beautiful, as all of them are.

Her new best friend. She smiles at the thought.

Both Echo and November had been with the Dollhouse for years, same as most of the actives she's dealt with, but this one is new, a fresh mind, more... impressionable, so to speak. Her smile widens as she thinks of the possibilities. Unlike the doctor, she doesn't care too much about the woman's pregnancy; it's more like an afterthought to her, a small piece of the puzzle that the actives are.

She thinks of Echo, high and haughty member of a task force chasing one of the LA Dollhouse's rogue actives now, shaking her head at the irony of it all. Topher Brink who'd thought she was beautiful enough to be one of them, is in prison now, with many other employees of Dollhouses around the world. She, however, has hit a somewhat lucky break. Okay, truth be told, she created one for herself.

The numerous trials were supposed to be the end of Rossum, but the corporation was too big, too linked with numerous other companies to take out all of it. Once the rebuilding started, they needed her, and since she'd erased all records that connected her with Rossum and the DC Dollhouse, the authorities never got hold of her. She still gets to do the work she enjoys. Sometimes she's thinking of Topher who assists the rebuild from behind bars, and wonders if she'll ever see him again. Or Caroline.

Until then, though, she's got another doll to play with, cute Libra, imprinted with a yet unknown personality.

She fingers the restraints that bind the woman to the bed; whoever she is now, she was pretty angry before the doctors sedated her. Another riddle to solve. A friend to share her pain.

Bennett cannot wait for the pretty redheaded woman to wake up
