Denver Update
I went to see Bowling for Soup at the Ogden Theater. They played with American Hi-Fi and the Riddlin' Kids. It was a pretty cool show.
I FINALLY took pictures of my apartment and will be developing them shortly. I still heart my bed, which doesn't diminish my love of TiVo.
I'm learning all sorts of cool things in my classes. I'm learning about media literacy and how it could be used in schools to help students develop critical thinking skills. I'm learning how to make brochures pretty so you'll pick them up and read them. I'm learning that coming up with ideas is easy, but carrying them out is hard.
I have new CDs that I also love, including Sam Phillips' "A Boot and a Shoe" and Queen Latifah's "The Dana Owens Album," where she sings jazz. It's pretty cool - I especially like her rendition of "California Dreamin'."
I have a new baking cookbook with over 300 recipes. I've already started baking with so-so results. I blame the recipe. Naturally.
I'm wearing my Care Bear pants and a DU shirt, getting ready to see if Denver school districts incorporate bullying and abuse into their curriculum.
