Stupid Hurricane!

Holy fuck, I'm back!!! My internet was dead for several days thanks to hurricane Ike. >.<

Here's some stuff I wrote while I was without my precious internet:

SUNDAY, SEPT 14

I know I should already despise hurricanes because they can kill people and destroy cities/towns/entire states - but now I have a personal reason for hating them.

The wind from Hurricane Ike is currently smashing my fucking state, and my internet is down. By the time I actually post this on LJ it'll probably be Monday or who knows how long. I'm sure a telephone pole got knocked down somewhere, and no one is crazy enough to go outside in these winds (70mph) at the moment to fix it.

My electricity has shut off a number of times so far, and it's entirely annoying when you're trying to watch a DVD when the TV and DVD player shut off every 10 minutes.

Sure, I should be entirely thankful that I don't live in Florida, or Texas, or Louisiana. And trust me, I am. I'm sure I'd have a whole new mess of things to complain about other than my DVD restarting several times because of the electricity problems or my internet being down. But I don't. o.o

Also, I took some video of the wind outside. You hear this snapping noise somewhere a bit past the middle of the video. I still don't know what that sound is... Reminds me of wires snapping. It may just be tree branches breaking, though. That's probably more likely.

MONDAY, SEPT 15

Over 2 million Ohioans have no power right now. O.O I'm now starting to feel lucky that my electricity is on, because I'd be going even more out of my mind if I didn't have cable television or wasn't able to take a hot shower... with the lights on.

God, I really hope I don't have to go a whole week without internet. I'm not sure if my sanity can take that. I probably sound like I have an addiction (who doesn't these days?), but what makes it worse is that I just... I don't have anything else to do! When I went to Atlantic City I didn't really miss going on the internet at all because I was always preoccupied with something else. I was doing things and having fun. I have... literally nothing else to do here. It's like, "Hmm, I guess I could stare at my wall for awhile... Maybe pick some things up from around my room... But what am I going to do after that?!" Nothing. You're going to do NOTHING.

I'm contemplating reading the 3 Harry Potter books I bought around the time they first came out that I have NEVER read... But I'm just too lazy to read. >_>;; Nah, not lazy. Just a lack of interest. If the book was about Mulder and Scully, none of you would hear from me for weeks. So yeah, lack of interest.

At the moment I'm about to install the PC version of Fable. I played it on X... was it Xbox? Yeah! It wasn't on PS2. I played it when it first came out on Xbox years ago and was addicted to it. It's a pretty good game if you get hooked on these types of things easily. I bought the PC version a long time ago and couldn't get the hang of it because the key bindings confused me. O.o;; But since this game doesn't require an internet connection (and I'm deathly bored of all my other PC games), I'm giving it a try again. Or at least, just until the internet is back. Because then it's all about the Warcraft. Ugh. World of Warcraft. How I miss you already. I was in the middle of mining a Rich Adamantite Deposite when my internet finally keeled over. I needed those ores. /cry
LOL Now that I think about it, I think as soon as my internet died, I yelled out in annoyance, "I... WAS MINING THAT!" God, I need help.

FUNKY! If you can read my mind... get on my rogue and do 10 AV games, then buy me my S2 Helm! I would have had that fucker yesterday if my internet was still alive. ='( Sigh, setbacks are a bitch.

At least the season premiere of House is tomorrow. That gives me something to be excited about. Also, a new episode of Fringe is right after it. So yaaaay, I get to be without boredom for 2 hours tomorrow night! =D

And yeah, I'm writing this all down in Notepad right now. Because again, I just have nothing better to do but to vent my frustrations somewhere.

Edit: O M F G. My grandma said that she called the electric company and they told her that her power won't be fixed until MONDAY. Excuse me. My mind is busy being lost. Why? Because I highly doubt I will have my internet back BEFORE people around here get their general power fixed. FUCKING A.

Also, Ohio is running out of gas thanks to hurricane Ike. Gas trucks are having trouble getting here because of the destruction. A lot of gas stations around where I live have no gas what-so-ever. So not only will I not have internet for a week, I also will probably be stuck in the house most of the time since the main purpose for the remainder of the gas in the cars is going to be used for my mom and Paul to get to work, not for me to take off to some random location to burn a few hours. Le sigh.

TUESDAY, SEPT 16

So uh, I think I at least fractured one of my toes last night. LOL I tripped over my suitcase in my room (that has been up here since I got back from Atlantic City like, 3 weeks ago) TWICE and hit my toe really hard the first time, but apparently it was the second time that really did it, even though it didn't hurt half as bad. It immediately swelled up, I felt like my toe was going to explode and blood was just going to fly every where. I couldn't move it and it hurt really bad to try, so I elevated it and put some ice on there. Today... It's really blue and purple. LOL And green... It's weird because there's this greenish blue spot ON my foot. Like, above where my toe starts. There's just a whole mess of colors around my foot area today. -nods- I kind of gasped when I saw it because I can move it now, but it feels really stiff. lol

Also, I'm taking that suitcase down to the basement where it belongs... sometime today. You know, until I almost break another part of my body from tripping over it.
