the Story:
A few days after everything in the asylum returned to relative normalcy, the Phantom at last found his way into the library, finding an end to his boredom. But upon gaining this tiny grain of something he enjoyed, he decided he would not return to his room. With so few visiting the library, he saw to it that he would have it to himself. The first thing to go were the lights. An easy task for someone of his skill, plunging the room into darkness. He held onto a flashlight, for when he wished to read. Then the heat died down, after the simple task of tampering with the thermostat.
With out others to intervene, he went about digging through the oldest books he could find. Examining every crevice of the place. He was looking for something. Others were concerned with the lack of access to the basement or seeking the reason for the previous, unexplained shifts of the building. He sought something far simpler. Either building plans--blue prints--or a hidden entrance to anywhere else. He did so miss his secret passages and hidden tunnels that allowed him to pass as a ghost through other people's lives.
For now, he sat at one of the tables far back from the door, pouring over an old book.
