I've got a new job!
I just gave my 2 weeks notice - with such an apathetic reaction from the higher-ups too.
Just feel the love warming me from the inside out...
So more money with potential for raises, an actual(!) lunch time, a steady work schedule (not going from mornings to afternoons and back again), and weekends off!! ^____________^
The commute sucks but hopefully, it'll be worth it. My current takes me 20 minutes to get to work and this new job will take a little over an hour. ^_^;;
It's going to be more responsiblity too but I think I can handle it. I told my boss I'd be working at a press shop and he said, "Oh, it won't be that different". Just the schedule makes a difference to me, but that was typical boss talk, the general "No place will be better than here." implication.
I was feeling a bit worrisome about them - I mean, what are they going to do without Fabulous Me?? ;p -
but if they are going to be distant and business-like about it, then that's fine. I think I expect too much from them, as people who have worked beside me and have known me for nearly 4 years - not just as employers.
I have to tell myself too - that even if this new place doesn't work out, I'll be just fine.
It's a new start, a risk but a new opportunity - and new clothes...I have to buy more business-like clothes.
