On: The fact that Firefly and Supernatural are the Bastard children of the same Baby-Daddy.
Having seen the entire Firefly series multiple times and viewing all of the Supernatural
episodes to date, I have come to the conclusion that they are essentially the exact same
show with only a few key differences. Let me show you to my evidence locker...
Both Firefly and Supernatural...
1. ...have beloved personified modes of transportation.
Serenity and Metallicar
2. ...have a younger character is Ca-Razy in the head.
River and Sammy
3. ...guest starred Fredric Lehne
Crazy Rich Guy who wants to take a whore's baby and the Yellow-Eyed
Demon/Janitor
4. ...had Demonic like creatures that want to basically take your soul and are all
around unpleasant.
Reavers and Reapers
5. ...Vehicle models named after living things.
Firefly and Impala
6. ...Spoke a foreign language
Mandarin and Latin
7. ...Wore cool coats
Browncoats and whatever the boys wear, sorry I don't know what to call them
(bombers?)
8. ... Women that own bar-like establishments that call an old friend and end up
basically going to war with them.
(sorry I can't think of her name, but that Whore in the final episode) and Ellen
9. ...Association with a holy man
Shepard Book and Pastor Jim
10. ... Had a silly side character who was violent but loveable
Jayne and going by general fandom, Caleb
11. ...have protective older brothers
Simon and Dean
12. ....The Ca-Razy in the head characters and the protective older brothers have
daddy issues.
Simon and River and Dean and Sammy
13. ... Are running from something and are wanted by the law.

14. ...Have odd sexual tension between the siblings (lol)
Simon and River and Dean and Sammy
15. ...Have a loveable genius
Kaylee and Ash
16. ...Hate the government
17. ...Have a daddy-like character who was a Sergant
Malcolm Reynolds and John Winchester
18. ...At some point break their personified transportation and angst
Episode: Out of Gas and Episode: Devil's Trap and quite a few episodes in the
beginning of Season Two.
19. ...Both have aired on fairly-well hated networks that don't seem to value what
show's they've got.
Fox and UPN/WB
20. ...Both have REALLY hot people starring in them. Apparently in both of their
worlds there are no ugly people. Nope, none at all.
21. ...Introduced characters that seem likeable enough in the beginning but end up being crazy-ass killers.
Saffron and Gordan
