Tour Blog
Wednesday @ Sonar Baltimore,Maryland
After a LONG drive and a major lack of sleep i arrive at Sonar
to meet the guys for the first of my 4 shows on the last "leg"
of the US tour. After meeting everyone again and stowing my gear
i go in to check out the venue at Sonar, originally a parking
garage in downtown Baltimore it is built of steel and concrete
with a small crowd at the barricade for the show to begin. The
set was great despite some technical glitches and there was
energy in the air as PM played and the fans ate it up.The energy
in the room didnt wain either for Stratovarius who did not hit
the stage till 23:15.
The small but enthusiatic crowd cheer for thier Norwiegan
"heroes" loving every minute of the set and keep most everyone
occupied for a few hrs doing the usual..taking pictures, singing
things and generally chatting it up with them bus call was 3 am
and Phil had us on the road on the dot to head to Cleveland
where we now sit as i type this thursday morning.
Joining the tour has already been an eye-opening experience
since ive never done this before... i got lucky and got a floor
bunk so theres no chance of rolling out of bed on a bus with bad
shocks LOL. To get a glimpse into what its like on a tour like
this is very cool and gives me a greater understanding of what
bands go thru to bring music "to the masses" as it were.
