Mmm... hmmm... Okay...!So. For all of you who know my idiot son and happen to like him, this message is for you. Knowing Adell, he's been unsurprisingly tight lipped about this. Heh, well, his birthday is tomorrow but for obvious reasons, you know, after recovering hostages and bringing

Running interference for the two people Aku wants to kill the most in all of Luceti was not fun.
The reply his Mom initially gets is something like an annoyed, fatigued groan. The adrenaline in his system had long since subsided, and most of his injuries ached. He'll definitely be fine before long. But Mom still has to finish up and make sure all of his wounds are treated properly.]
Yeah. Yeah. You did.

Nice to know your ears are still functional.
[She grabs the rag she was using before, eying the once white cloth quickly becoming red. She'd swap it out for a new after she finishes up his chest, soaking it in her disinfectant again. When he'd gotten home she'd all but stripped him out of most of his clothes, dealing with the gash on his back first because that had been too close for comfort.
Her hands themselves are faintly stained, covered in blood from one of Adell's cuts that reopened and muck from outside. Her apron looks particularly messy, using it for it's purpose and wiping her hands off on it.
Rubbing efficiently into another, she says dryly]
Another day in the life of Adell.

Hasn't been this way in like, eight months.

[Cleaning, cleaning, she can't help but make a face at the bite marks, those'll be a pain to rinse out, even if they don't look particularly deep.]
The moment you told me about that particular demon I just knew you'd be fighting him again.
[But she isn't being accusatory, just merely talking when she gets a new rag and starts on another area of his chest.]

He didn't pull punches this time. He was definitely out to kill. We beat him, but it was ugly...

Looking at you, I can tell.
Reply
Yeah. ...wouldn't have been so bad if I could actually hurt the jackass.

Price of being a demon, fighting is such a big deal in our culture because we know we can only beat the crap out of each other with brute force due to the lack of ability on our part when it comes to capitalizing on strategic weakness.
Not like you can help that in this case.
[Pause.]
Luceti really is skewed that way isn't it, we've got so few angels with the number of demons running around.
[And standing back up again she'll run a hand through his hair with an expectant look.]
Well? If it burns it's working.

Believe me, if I could've found a way to use Holy attacks, I would've. It'd really go well with that "flames of justice" thing...
[And he pauses, smile broadening into a smirk.]
Oh yeah. It burns like hell.
Reply
Ohh, I'm sure.
As if you haven't sent enough enemies to hell wrapped in your flames of justice.
[And she'll pull on a rather satisfied smile at that comment.]
Ohohohoho, then sit there and stew awhile while I get your bandages ready.

...Inwardly, he wonders if he's spent more time wearing bandages in some form or another or his tie. ...Probably the tie, but not by as much as he'd care to admit.]
Still... at least it's all worked out for now. Made it worth it.

Rolling out another she hums low at the Adell's statement, what's done was done and what was done was done successfully thankfully.]

Of course, this sight would likely creep just about anyone else out right now. But whatever. Mom knew what she was doing. And right now he's just going to wait on those bandages so he'll be allowed to move again.]

Finishing her preparations she returns to Adell's side and raises his arm before applying the bandage.]

Heh, reminds me of the time we came home after Rozalin pissed off Beauty Queen Etna.
[It might sound odd that he remembers that as a more amusing time, considering how wounded his pride was back then.]

Looks good.
[Off to get the next prepared one, this time for his lower forearm.]
I remember, your jaw sunk so low it was skimming the ground.
