[When the trees stop, Salt flies into the village square for closer inspection.]

Whoa!!

[He flutters about the new trees but stops once he notices the Queen. A wide smile breaks out across his tiny cheeks as he inches closer through the air.]

Ahh~! So cool! Are these trees your friends?!

[The Queen laughs. It's a bright and happy laugh, bubbling up from her fair throat and sounding almost like the babbling of brooks and the tweeting of birds. She holds out her hand for Salt to come closer.]

Hello, little one! Yes, the Treefolk are friends of mine. Please, speak to them as well!

Oh, cool! Okay! Thanks!

[He does just that, fluttering around the closer of them until he finds the face in the trunk and waves.]

Hello! I've never met a talking tree before.

You can talk, right?

[The tree lets out a low rumbling noise - as deep as the earth itself. A rich sound, warm and happy. It speaks like the rustling of leaves in the wind.]

Yes.

[At first the voice is a bit scary, leaving the young fairy speeshless for a moment in time. Soon enough his smile gets wider and he flails about in front of the tree trunk.]

Coool! How did you learn to talk? Where did you come from? Are you here to stay? What's your name?

[Again, that low, rumbling chuckle can be heard.]

So impatient.

[After some more consideration, it slowly begins to answer.]

I have been able to talk since my acorn pushed my trunk through the ground. I came from the forest deep, and am called Oak.

[Impatient is one way of putting it. He seems mostly excited to talk with a tree, though.]

Nice to meet you, Oak! Hey, what was it like being an acorn? Did you have to do anything special to become a big tree?

I'm going to be a season fairy someday that's why if you need some sun, let me know! I can make sunlight! It's the best! You like the sun too, right?

Like sunlight?

[That rumbling laugh is caught by all of the other trees, who laugh and laugh.]

Young lord, we are trees. We strive for the sun above all else.

[Salt almost asks what a lord is but to hear the roll of laughter and Oak's words about sunlight, he can't resist bulling out his orange trumpet and showing off his sun magic. A short tune is played, as he hasn't figured out the melody quite right for his playing yet but it's enough to create a small ball of sunlight between himself and Oak.]

[The oak spreads its leaves to drink in the sunlight. Around them, the other trees applaud, with the Queen leading it.]
