Oh right from the start,
Through smiles and fears,
You stole my heart, and
Ascended to skies bright and clear.
You.
Bring.
My.
Life,
Simple cheer.
Oh babe when you smile,
That smile of appeal,
You take my heart
And drive it to where you would steer.
You.
Are.
Su--
Blime,
Darling dear.
And I,
Don’t know what’s happen--
Ing,
To me,
I left my mind,
Somewhere within your
Eyes.
And I
Don’t care.
And I don’t care.
Oh love of my love,
Oh song of my ear,
I’d live my life,
For you quiet calm and austere.
You.
Are.
My.
Life,
On this sphere.
Oh right from the start,
Through smiles and fears,
You stole my heart, and
Ascended to skies bright and clear.
And I don’t care.
A song of love that I don't have. Inspired by John Mayer's Comfortable.
I've recently started working on my obscure realist's love novel In the Deep Shade again; two years in the making in a couple of months. I was inspired to start up again by recently viewing the first two seasons of The Office (OMG PAM AND JIM!!!1111!!) The story of Pam and Jim is a simple, kind of sweet thing that reminded me of the origins of In the Deep Shade and inspired me to continue on with the story. Also to check up on certain people. Time flies.
I've spent the last few days completely revising the first six chapters. It wasn't as much tedious as it was interesting to see how much my writing style has changed these past two years-and it has. I think anyone reading the manuscript will see the sharp differences between chapters one to three, four to six and seven to whatever. Of course chapters one to three are of a bit of a different perspective than the rest, but the styles themselves are in a lot of ways perpendicular.
Current word count is about 10,500. Chapter seven (recently added!) is about 900.
Let's hope it doesn't take anothe two years for the next three chapters.
By the way, my niece Rylee should be born within the next few hours or days. I guess that's a lot more important than my writing, but I almost clicked "post" without mentioning it.
Shame on me.
Expect an entry on her birth day.
