It's been about a month since I've updated this puppy, so I'll just toss out a few random doings of recent:
My cat died on April 1st; he was 14. He's buried in the backyard in an Office Depot box. The word "Bootsie" is written on it in black magic marker.
V for Vendetta is apparently the greatest movie ever made in my humble opinion... Consequently, I'm seeing it in Spring Hill tonight for $2.50.
My car's motormouth was cracked in half. Pairing that with my need for new rear brake clamps, I just recently dropped $400 into the proverbial car bucket. As usual, my car only breaks when I can afford to fix it; I hand that fact over to years of faithfully tithing 10% of my income.
Mom is down in PAR in Clearwater, although I haven't seen her since December. It's not really much of a suprise considering how my life has gone.
Jonna is living with a man named Rick up here in Port Richey. She's been with him for a while and their relationship is apparently very serious. We will finally be meeting him at a barbeque at their house tomorrow.
This year's edition of Mobius is finally complete. My duties as editor-in-chief are thus effectively ended, allowing me ample time to do the school research that I've been neglecting for the past month-or-so, while I attended to the 'zine's layout.
On a related note, my poem "In Our Golden Days We Were Saints," which I posted several entires ago on this blog, will be read this coming Tuesday, the 18th. It will be read while a dance is performed by some disabled dance students from USF; it should be fascinating. The magazine will also be officially unveiled at the performance.
I recently realized that there is no point in studying apologetics if I forget why I care so much about defending my faith. I've been spending a lot of time doing academic research and studies, but relatively little time, in comparison, in prayer or scriptural reading. It seems that so many of the recent events in my life, none of which have been chronicled here, have to do with me coming to that realization. I look forward to getting this rather difficult stint behind me, God-willing.
I've got an idea brewing in my head for a poem right now. Thinking about the sky.
Have a happy Easter; remember why it's celebrated.
Praise and glory to the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
