Well today was nice.
Lunch with Jessica at 1, which was just so great since I haven't seen her since about November of LAST YEAR; definitely long overdue. The wonderful thing is, we actually just had a normal conversation, for once. I could go into the details of WHY that is wonderful, but I won't, since it's a long, personal story that I frankly don't feel like writing about, even privately. But it was cool, and we hung out at Panerra/Starbucks from about 1-3 and talked about a bunch of different things, but, most importantly, where God is taking us in our lives. Her and I have a very unique relationship...I can honestly say that I don't have a relationship akin to it with anyone else I know. The reader can take that for all it's worth.
But, she'll be leaving for YWAM in about 2 weeks. She knows my prayers for God's continued guidance and fellowship are with her, always and forever. I can honestly say that she has a wonderful destiny, but I also can't honestly say exactly what it is. We'll all just have to see what it is when it comes =) .
Anyway, while we were waiting to leave Starbucks, it started pouring. I HAD to leave at 3, since I had to go to the bank and be at work by 4. So, we walked outside, exchanged our last hug (for a while, at least), and followed the following suit:
*Hug*
Jessica: *Looking out into the distance* There's where I parked!
Danny: *Looking as well* Dang, where did I park? I think it's actually FARTHER than yours!
Jessica: *Watching a car drive by the street.* Ok...after this car goes...we run.
Danny: *Watching the car* Ok!
*Exchange smiling glances*
Danny: OK! 3...2...1...GO!!
And we mad-dashed a good 50 yards in a torrential downpour, hopping over bushes and doging puddles, laughing like two little kids playing in a thunderstorm. She found her car first, right after she splashed in a huge puddle and squeeled with shock. Yelling "Bye," and waving, I looked around confusedly for my car, which seemed to be no where in sight. After about five seconds, though, I found it, and ran over. I, of course, have no air conditioning, and the drive home was...wet...to say the least.
And that's the last memory I'll have with Jess, at least for a while. I think it was good, personally ;) .
And also, it was, in creative/artistic terms, so friking romantic. To further elaborate, I mean something that would just make a good subject for a short story or something, because that's just the kind of memorable moment it was. Too bad I don't have some sort of book I'm writing to put that i-- Oh. Wait. Yes I do. And this was so inspiring, that it will 100% definitely be in there...at least for now.
But anyway, it was great. Thanks again, Jess.
School starts.
