I got Movies Today!

So, a week or so ago I tracked down something that I'd been looking to get for my sister. The website also sells used DVDs, and had a promo running of buy 3 DVDs and shipping is free for your entire order. Shipping was nearly $10 so I looked around to see what I could find. I spent $14 so it was basically like getting 3 movies for $4. I bought De-Lovely pretty much just because I've been meaning to watch it since it came out and it is never checked in at the library or my closest Blockbuster. It was cheap, so if I don't want to keep it I can probably unload it at CD Tradepost or give it to the library for the book sale.

I also got A Dog's Breakfast which I plan to watch tomorrow while my parents are in Lawrence at Dad's physical therapy appointment. It was actually the most expensive of the three movies, but I had to buy it. Third movie was Poolhall Junkies and is the only one that I'd actually already seen. It's not great cinema or anything, but it's a reasonably good story and has two of my favorite people in it (Christopher Walken and Michael Rosenbaum) and it was super-cheap.

In other news, I've now watched the first season and a half of Supernatural. I'm mostly quite fond of it, and after I've watched my new movies I'll start watching it again. First Season had a few episodes that I just did not in any way connect with, but most of the others were adored. I think I'm a little bit in love with Dean, and I don't think there's a single recurring character that I hated.

I also read Fool Moon (Jim Butcher) last week and liked it well enough that I'm going to have to get the next book. I'm hopeful that I'll find it for $1 in the library booktique like I did the last one, but if not there's a $25 Barnes & Noble gift certificate on its way to me. I'm reading The Poisonwood Bible now, and I'm not sure what I think of it yet.
