I'm back up & Easter was kind of fun

Well, cable and the internet were not properly hooked up when the cable guy came at like 10 minutes to 5 on Friday, so I spent another weekend without internet access. Then the guy at customer service pretty much told us that if it wasn't on, then we set it up incorrectly in the house and they'd send a tech back to help us, but it would cost us $33.95.

Of course, we did have it set up right, though the guy who came out spent about half an hour telling us how he could tell it was hooked up without even getting on the pole and he'd be happy to check it at the box outside the house if we wanted, but he'd really just have to come inside and see how we have things hooked up to help us. We insisted and he finally climbed up on the pole and there was something wrong there. If they charge us money for that, I'm going to be really annoyed. I must remember to check the first bill and make sure they don't charge us for service from any date before March 24th also, because they tried to charge my neighbor from the first time they came out not the third time when they finally managed to get it hooked up right at the pole.

Anyway, I'm back online, and after I spend the next few days going through the massive backlog of email that I've accumulated over the last month maybe I'll actually get around to doing something here.

We spent most of Easter Weekend with my brother and his family. Ashley and Del took his sister back to California and picked up another of his sisters to come for a visit in Kansas. They left the babies with John and Victoria, so we got to see them all weekend. I really should quit calling them the babies. They're three and two now. It was lots of fun, but I'm exhausted now. Haley is a handful. She's the two year old, and I think she should be a gymnast. She's super strong, and she likes to do backflips with a little assistance from me, over and over and over again. I think she kind of hurt mom's feelings though, because Mom tried to help her do something and she screamed, "NOOOOO," and then came over and asked me to do it. Jayda is still the most beautiful child I've ever seen, but she's got quite the little attitude, and she has the meannest nastiest looks when she doesn't get her way. She's not really a tantrum-thrower, but she looks at you like you're the scum of the earth who likes to torture puppies for fun or something. She's also very very jealous of Haley. Nobody remembered to take a camera, or I'd be boring you all with pictures, because they are adorable.

family, the cable company is evil, real life
