This is exactly it. The story is horrific.. I have nothing but sympathy for the girl, and I wish that there was some chance this charge would stick. Jeffs is a horrible man, and it is he, more than anything, that is at the root of this. But the problem is that she was fourteen and didn't want to be married to anyone, much less her older cousin. The problem is that she was fourteen and she was forced to have sex. The problem isn't that her husband had other wives. I just hate the implication that it can't be anything other than abusive, and I don't understand why that's any more true of this kind of relationship than any other. Grr.
